(imo) $6-8/L is the sweet spot for good value on mouthwashes, and not many in the market have the recommended alcohol-free and fluoride-containing formula, but two that do and that I only use are Listerine Zero (currently $8/L) and Oral-B Rince (currently $7/L)

Why is alcohol free better? I personally like the freshness of alcohol

      • Alcohol in your mouth for long periods is not good

      • I go with Listerine Zero, doesnt burn (zero alchohol), and tastes ok, usually pretty cheap on amazon also

  • Someone a long time ago here recommend Curasept mouthwash. Meant to be pharmacy on the shelf product, but it's on Amazon too. Dentists usually recommend it after surgery or cleanings, it says to avoid eating for 45 minutes after, and to not use more than two weeks at a time, to avoid staining. Must be powerful stuff.

Alcohol-free mouthwashes are much kinder, (less drying) for gum tissue. About the last thing anyone needs from their dental care products is to contribute to gum recession.

    • We should all do our bit to stimulate the gum economy

  • Available again but price up to $6 ($5.40 S&S)
