I normally love red. but i cant say i like the galaxy s3 in red.
The red looks much better in person. It's actually metallic, as in, if held to the light it shines. Looks quite good.
Would not buy over $450.

No it won't. Not even the S2 has steadily been at that point, recently, so it's highly, highly unlikely that the cream of the Android crop would drop so quickly, and so far.

HN sold S2 in March or April for $399 this year. Think about the process of price dropping, it will not be a surprise that S3 go to $450 next month. Win 8, ipad mini, HTC, LG, and of course, Iphone 5, I don't think S3 can hold the price for long time.

Yeah, and that has barely been matched since. That kind of sale isn't in keeping with the gradual decline in pricing - it was a one off kind of thing, most likely just to move stock quickly.

I'm insulted that you think I'm not. I don't believe you're factoring in, that a product's price will decline less and less each period as the price drops - it can't just keep dropping ~$100 every 3 months, or it would cost nothing by the end. Kogan can sell these for $500 just fine at the moment - they don't really have much of a reason to drop the price by such a large margin. It might get to $450 + shipping in the next two months or so, but it most certainly won't get to $399.

WP7 devices currently occupy a relatively small segment of marketshare: it really isn't big enough to influence Samsung's Android devices.

Neither HTC nor LG are as well known as Samsung - just refer to the number of deals for each vs Samsung on OzBargain for evidence. The Galaxy S3 is popular - you're not placing very much importance on that fact.
If one were to believe the constant claims of Apple Fanbois, then yes, the Galaxy S3 price will hit absolute rock bottom due to the wild success of the iPhone. In reality, it's doubtful - the Galaxy S3 is achieving a measure of popularity (no doubt thanks to Samsung's heavy marketing this time around); it's no longer an under-dog that has to battle against the iPhone tooth-and-nail to achieve a single sale. As I said above, it's selling fine at the moment, and has achieved more brand recognition than it has ever had - the iPhone 5 (especially considering the iPhone is however-many-hundred-dollars dearer) should impact terribly much, and it definitely won't reduce the S3 to $399, as per fchis tiresome claim above.

I bought Nexus 7 from Kogan more than a week ago and it still hasn't shipped. So if you are looking for fast shipping from them, you may need to reconsider.
I ordered my SGSIII 32GB on 18/9/12 and had it by 26/9/12. Very happy with Kogan and SGSIII. Also had AU power adapter, which I wasn't expecting.
