    990b for $999.50
    930c for $749
    Are both great value

    • I am interested in the 990c with the best price I can find right now being $1283.50 on eBay

      Any thoughts on 990b for $999.50 versus 990c for $1283.50 ?
From what I have read it's the same hardware, just different software for the 990c.

That is a lot of soundbar for $224. Good find

Very cheap for a Q series soundbar, I have this same model and it's more than enough power for most people.

  • Pity it has no Chromecast.

    • You could always plug one in

I got this as part of the box damaged ebay sale earlier this year. I thought I was upgrading from entry level lol

    Nothing compares to Yamaha.
    SB/sound system: Yamaha
    SSD: Samsung
    Car: German
    Washing machine/power tools: Bosch
    Shaving: Braun
    Toilet paper: Aldi
    and
    Brunette-Redhead

  • is it better than Yamaha last deal?

    • Do you mean with YAS-109? I bought it on last Amazon sale but I returned it. I was really disappointed with the Yamaha budget soundbar as I don't notice any difference with my Samsung TV.

Not sure about this one, but having tested lots of budget soundbar at JB hifi they sound mediocre at best. If you have a crappy TV speaker, then a budget soundbar will definitely improve the experience.

These prices are available to Westpac customers, too. Through the "Rewards and Offers" link in the Westpac app, and through the website once you log into your account. Additionally, Westpac apparently offers an extra $100 discount if you spend over $1000 and elect to "Pay with PartPay" which is Westpac's pay-in-4 installments thing. Can not verify that works though, I only bought the Q600B. Hope this information helps someone else who, like me, doesn't have EDU access.

Appears to be out of stock already

  • There's a number of 1-star reviews saying that this model has a known fault where it stops working basically out of the box. Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence, given Samsung's customer service isn't as straightforward as, say, Amazon's.

Have this exact soundbar for almost a year now and it's basically been on 24/7 and no issues so far.

      • Yeah it sounds like a manufacturing issue where it only affects certain batches. Anyway, I ended up getting the Q930C https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/809243

        • I also read about some issues with it only after i had got it all connected up lol, but so far, it's been ok does what i need which is an improvement over TV speakers.
If i had a dedicated room just for watching media content then that Q930C would have been nice to have, but alas it's not to be.

be careful buying directly from samsung, they can and will ignore you if things go wrong which means no warranty no way to return and you will be left with broken item and loss of money

ACCC can do nothing, had to go to court to get money back
