good way to sort lights from darks before throwing them together into the wash

  • I have one of these and it's bigger than it looks. We're quite happy with it but it can be annoying to take down the stairs.

indeed…segregation has no place in a modern progressive laundry!!

I could sort my washing using this and my wife would still find a way to tell me I'm doing it wrong.

Glad they put "light" and "dark" labels on so we know which is which.

You shouldn't assume just by looking, which is which. Making judgments based solely on a sorting hamper's appearance is superficial and problematic.

Sorting hampers are complex, and their worth and capabilities cannot be accurately assessed through physical appearance alone.

However, labelling of this basket is also a little problematic as it leads to assumptions and negative behaviors that are racist. Why shouldn't the colours be mixed with the whites? Typically the racist attitude is that the colours will mix and ruin the whites, which is very white supremecist.

I think that although the designers may not have been consciously racist, they lacked awareness of the racial implications of their product design.
