PC Upgrade - Looking at CPU/Mobo Bundles?

Hey all,

Gamer here looking to rebuild my PC finally and would like some recommendations
I've had a factal define 7 case sitting around waiting for this upgrade and finally looking at building into it.
Looking to continue gaming Dota2, CounterStrike2, and some Stable Diffusion and other minor AI hobbies
Monitor: ASUS 1440p gaming

Current setup:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
MOBO: MSI X370 SLI Plus AM4
GPU: EVGA 1060 SC 6GB
RAM: 16GB
Old 750W PSU will look at replacing too

New setup thoughts:
CPU: 7600/7600X (don't care of overclock, never learned it)
MOBO: Wifi and multiple M2 slots (not sure on nuance with NVME if there's a difference)
RAM: 32GB of whatever is best value on 7600X and mobo that runs fast enough (must be stable can't be changing voltages and shit)
GPU: Looking at gabbing a 3060Ti from marketplace ~$350 until the SUPER series drops if a 4070 SUPER comes out

Aware of VRAM limitation for SD but probably something I can live with for now, just to get off my 1060.

Questions:
I was looking at this, and wanted to know if it's a good offer:
https://www.scorptec.com.au/bundle/cpu/amd-socket-am5/1693-b…

Also not sure on cooling if that's not included for the CPU.

If that bundle isn't the way to go, happy to buy components separately for recommendations

My budget is flexible but obviously I'm aiming for decent value for reasonable quality

  • Why don't you get one of those 7800 xt deals that have been posted lately?

  • might not be something you want to hear but I am still going to point out:

DDR5 is rather temperature sensitive, and define 7 with no mesh fronted panel doesn't have particular good airflow.

    • Interesting. cheers I might look at AM4 with ddr4 then, the 5600X looks like good value at the moment.
Just based on the cooling/airflow aspect, how should I be approaching the CPU heatsink situation given I'd go down the 5600X path for optimal cooling/acoustics.

      • +1

To my surprise you don't change what's broken (non-airflow-friendly case) rather straight go with downgrade?

I suggest sell the case, and get
7500f + b650 gaming X (from PCCG) + that RAM from scorptec bundle

        =787

And maybe get another case like Phantek p300A, or SilverStone Fara R1 rgb, just be aware the GPU length limitations for big card like 4080/7900xt etc.

As for cooling, any 120mm tower cooler will do, they generally around $30 ish.
