Morning OzBargain,

Our early access Black Friday deals start today and who better to share them with but the OzBargain community! Our previous 7800XT deal sold out super fast and many people were left out.

Unfortunately, SSD and RAM prices have increased along with the Aussie dollar still low. We have done everything we can again here by absorbing as much cost as possible. This deal uses the popular 32GB RAM option instead of 16GB and we have priced it roughly $200 less than the lowest retail price which is well below market. It is as fair as possible with the upgrades compared to our previous Guardian deal.

The 7800XT has been benchmarked running 23% faster at 1440P and 24% faster at 4K against the RTX 4070 on Starfield. Moreover, impressively on Hogwarts Legacy at 1440P, it delivered 28% more than the 4070. I think we can all agree on what the best price to performance 1440P graphics card is today! NVIDIA might be in trouble…

As part of our early access Black Friday promotion, for each purchase you will receive a bonus Corsair K55 RGB PRO Gaming Keyboard valued at $89^

You will also receive a free copy of AVATAR: Frontiers of Pandora™ with every order with a 7800XT

We will also ship the 7800XT separately to you at no additional cost as the 7800XT is quite a bulky card without a holder. We want you to have the best possible experience and take as many safety precautions.

Due to popular demand, if you're looking for something high-end with more power, check out our RX 7900XTX rig (same-day shipping)! While stocks last.

  • Is there anything in the $600-$800 range? Something like what techfast do. They don't have PayPal option otherwise I would have bought one.

    • +5

Yes, that would be our RX 7600 build :). Check it out - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/805583. Will smash any 1080P gaming and you can pay with PayPal.

      • +2

Is this product being called "Aftersock" on the site a goof or a gaffe?

        • It's for playing games after you've been on OF, the 'hub or the 'other tube' for a little while, hence "after sock"

  • If I find a part I like off of Amazon or something more than the parts listed would it be possible to have you order it and put it in the build? Found a mobo I like more than the options.

    • +1

We can source this for you as well as a custom option, let me know what it is and I’ll try my best to accomodate :).

      • I'll note it when I make an order. Another question though I noticed the versions of the 7800s changed between this deal and the last. Any notable differences? This is an overclock version apparently? Percentile performance changes known?

        • Nothing majorly different, this model has more lighting if that matters to you. The game clock on the ASRock GPU is 2169 MHz and the previous Sapphire card was 2124 MHz. The boost clock on the ASRock card is 2475 MHz and the previous Sapphire card was 2430 MHz. The ASRock card has slightly higher clock speeds compared to the previous, I'd say a small performance increase.

  • +2

Will this PC be able to play csgo and age of empires

    • +3

It is absolutely overkill for the above games, it will destroy them. Max settings on everything on 1440P easily for the games above and any AAA title.

      • but can it run Crysis?

        • Haha that maybe not…

  • +1

The fact the 6800xt performs almost at 7800xt levels makes me think im happy to wait another gen.

    • +8

      Spot on, couldn't agree more.

The sad truth is, that the best new dollar-to-performance card for 1440P gaming is the RX 7800XT. We can only work with what's the best value on the market.

      • Oh absolutely, if i was still rocking a 980 i’d jump on this.

  • Deal for Intel PC please!!!!

    • +9

      Hi DJcap,

Sorry, this won't be happening for a long time. AMD CPUs are much better value and perform just as well as Intel CPUs. For AMD CPUs they're much better for gaming overall, at the end of the day the CPU you have makes very little difference. There are plenty of resources online that explain why it doesn't matter which brand you go with. It just comes down to value and stock availability.

We have Intel options available on our site if you're interested though!

Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help :).

      • Would you be able to advise performance difference between AMD vs Intel CPUs for video editing software (After Effects)?

        • +1

Negligible difference, both are very very similar in performance. To your every day user you really won't see a difference, Intel does win in productivity but it comes at a premium cost.

  • do u guys do components? after the 7800xt

    • Not at this stage due to no deal pricing, we can look into a custom build for you for a 7900XTX if that’s what you’re after.

  • Any 7800X3D+4080/4090 builds deal? Thanks

    • +1

Will be but very limited stock as there’s very little demand. It won’t be a deal that’ll be OzBargain worthy. 4080/4090 stock is horrible and pricing has only gone up.

      • What would be the expected price range of the 7900xtx + 7800x3d deal?

        • +1

At least $3000 ish, will post a link on it coming closer to BF on our deals.

      • Have to admire the @Nebula PC responses here; they seem to be giving a very clear and honest picture of why suppliers are opting for particular combinations.

  • When shipping are you able to provide the boxes for each component?

    • That's not how a prebuilt works

    • +3

Yes if you want them I can organise that, some are in bulk pack and we don’t have the boxes. Let us know when you order and I’ll arrange all boxes that we can fit flat packed.

    • +19

The rest of the parts of course they are best value otherwise it won’t be a deal right? This is OzBargain and that is what we deliver here.

They’re not the exact same models, that’s why we didn’t use that comparison. The Sapphire card is out of stock and their price went up even more. That’s why we switched over to ASRock, you’ll see the Sapphire card increase in cost shortly as their stock on hand sells out. It’s not a trick, you can’t compare if they’re not the same brand and model. Regardless it’s still a ripper deal even if you use the Sapphire card price comparison.

I’m not sure what you want me to say, every day I try my best to negotiate best prices for the community. Yes of course we have overhead and we need to eat. I can’t run this business into the ground right? We are already operating on the slimmest margins, if I could do it for less I would.

      • +1

Agree that everyone must win in business. You can't have the retailer losing money while only the customer wins.

      • +5

Dude you are the coolest rep in this space. Don't worry about the neggers. We sincerely thank you for providing great deals to our community. I know you are a genuine guy so from the rest of us happy folks.
        Thank you

    • +2

I think you have the wrong company for these comments.

    • +5

Alright smarty pants - you have $1600AUD give me a better build

      CPU-
      RAM-
      MOBO-
      HDD-
      PSU-
      CASE-
      GPU-

    • They offer 3 years warranty. That gives you good piece of mind.

      • +2

        Peace of mind too

        • +1

          Oops.

  • +1

Lawrence and the team are excellent. They respond quickly even late at night. Highly recommend them. The case is also very nice.
Recommend getting the B650m-p mobo and Ak400 cooler (and CPU if you use it for work) as you won't be able to upgrade these in 3 years time.

    • Playing around with options and the board is definitely worth upgrading. Looking at the SSD and swapping in a 1tb gen4 as that will also make a decent difference to longevity.

Delivery is late Nov I see, wondering if there is any flexibility to delay delivery say a week more (will be away).

  • Is a 650w PSU fine or recommended to go 750/850?

    • It depends on your budget, 650W has been fine for us under heavy load. But if you want to have more upgradability in future you can opt for a 750W PSU :).

    • 750W will allow you to upgrade GPU in a few years time.

  • Should i wait for black friday?

    • +2

Black Friday is starting early for us :). This is our Black Friday 7800XT deal, there won't be another or anything better for 7800XT. You get an awesome freebie in this one!

      • +1

Any plans for any cheaper deals? (1000-1300 range)

        • +1

That range is a funny spot, usually 4060 Ti but super bad value there for us :(. Look out for our next 4060 deal, will be below $1000.

          • @Nebula PC: Will keep my eyes out :) 1 last question, are the drivers and everything else pre-installed, or will I have to do that myself?

            • +1

@pigeon4ever: That's correct, all drivers will be installed and it'll be plug nad play :).

  • hi

I know it say it ships with the gpu separate is this optional and if not how hard is it to install and are the cords marked that are need for install

    jim

    • +1

      Hey Jim,

Super easy to install, everything will be ready for you to install including the power cables. We'll send an email with a guide on how to do it, check this out for now - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVbjl69z3HE.

      • Is it possible to have the gpu delivered with it already installed?

        • +1

Yes we can but we would prefer not to as we want to mitigate any kind of damage in transit. Just want you to have the best experience possible. Happy to walk you through and guide you when you receive the unit over the phone!

      • thanks haven't build a PC in over 15 years so kind of hesitant but after watching its not to hard cheers also can rgbs case fans be turned off or have colour set

        • Yes RGB can be turned off with software or the LED button on the case. You can change the colours to whatever you'd like, same goes for a pattern etc…

  • +1

Keeping an eye on these deals, due for an upgrade from 4790K but I'm thinking of keeping my 2080Ti as it's pretty solid for 2560x1440 and i'm happy to wait another gen or two to upgrade it, notice you usually can't entirely remove the video card from the builds though only change to another one?

    • If you don't want the GPU, then you shouldn't get this. The motherboard is pretty much a throw in (low end motherboard with just 1 m.2/NVMe slot, no USB 3.2 gen 2, no BIOS flashback). The SSD could be a QLC one (I bought a CS1031 SSD 2TB about 2 months ago, PNY has swapped the NAND to QLC). Case, single front USB 2 port + single front USB 3.2 gen 1 port is the most basic setup.

    • +1

Yes, we can organise a build with no GPU for you. Going off what @netsurfer said, absolutely it is really base entry-level parts. That's how we can keep cost down, most people do upgrade the board and storage. Let me know what kind of configuration you were thinking of and we can organise a no GPU build.

  • Did you guys stop offering the choice in unactivated w11 pro or home? Don't see it on the site anymore and ngl that's what made me like you guys over BPC techfast or enigma

    • Yes, all resellers must follow the Windows licensing agreement.

      • That means what?

        • It means resellers can not install Windows unactivated. If it's a deal breaker for you I understand, I would try find a PC builder that can install it for you to make it easier :).

  • OP, could you possibly include case dimensions on the website against those options? It would great to know that info… cheers!

    • Hi Oatee,

I can't fit the dimensions on the listing, it'd be too cluttered. Let me know what case dimensions you're after and I can let you know. It's available online.

      • Current case is 40cm high by 20cm wide and fits in the desk nicely… anything similar to that would work

        • Gamdias Talos E3 dimensions are 363x210x447mm (LxWxH), let me know if that works!

  • Will there be a deal with a RTX 4060ti or 4070 deal this Black Friday?

Would like to use CUDA for my studies, and btw I have heard 7500f after overclocked is pretty much the same with 7600, but we could overclock 7600 as well so what is the difference?

    Really appreciate it.

    • Yes, there'll be a 4070 and 4060 deal but not 4060 Ti. The value isn't there for 4060 Ti.

7500F is practically a 7600 without the integrated graphics. Not much difference, maybe 2% in raw performance. 7500F is awesome value as you don't need the integrated graphics with a dedicated video card. Some people like to have it as back up or a safeguard.

      • Decided I'm going to pull the trigger on a 4070 build for black friday, keen as for when when the deal is posted!

  • +1

No questions, but pretty impressive Store Rep service/answers! :)

  • Would you guys ship it without a psu and ssd to save me a bit of money?, I already have good quality parts for these and would just swap em over.

    • +1

Yes, we can organise parts only for you. Send me an email and I will arrange a quote for parts only without PSU and SSD.

      • +1

Insanely quick reply. Will flick an email off now.
        Thanks.

  • Would this run VR Microsoft flight Sim? And planet coaster, and other VR games on high settings with relatively no fan noise

    • Yes, it’s just a tad below the 4070 Ti in performance and I know for Flight Sim sources recommend the 4070 Ti. This system should handle it without an issue!

  • I don’t see an option to upgrade to 1TB SSD. Is the 7800XT better than 4070 for this build ?

    • Hi Steven,

It’s in the support section, there’s an SSD option. Yes the 7800XT performs better than the 4070 on paper. See the benchmarks above in my original post from TechSpot :).

  • How can I get the $1,548 price?

When I click on Go to Deal and check out, total price is $1,748 + delivery

    • Ahhh. I just asked Nebula PC and of course I need to put in the code at checkout. All good now, thanks.

  • Hey!
Will there be a 4070 deal anytime soon?
Was also hoping if any of these deals have an upgrade option to i7-14700k. Looking for a build for heavy 6k editing.

    • Yes, there'll be another refreshed 4070 deal but will be very similar to current Trailblazer 4070 pricing. The 7800XT currently is best value for price to performance :).

      • Will the refreshed 4070 deal provide AIO coolants?

        • All systems have the option to upgrade to an AIO, it's just in the support section. You'll need to upgrade the board to the B650M-P as the A620M-E doesn't have an RGB header.

          • @Nebula PC: Aah you're right I just saw that.

Would the refreshed deal have options for having a motherboard with 2 m.2 nvme slots. Similarly to the astra deal currently (B650m Mortar for example)

            • @usteg: Yes, same motherboard options.

  • how do we know what ports the MB's come with?

    • You can google the model number for the motherboard and it'll show you the ports on their site, which model were you looking at? Super easy to find out :).

      • is this the wifi motherboard? MAG B650M MORTAR WIFI

your listing says PRO instead of MAG

  • I need a decent workstation, not for gaming but I want to connect 4 monitors.
    What do you recommend?

    • Depends on your type of work, you might not even need a GPU at times. You can have a look at our Aftersock build, it'll be able to connect up to four monitors and is budget-friendly. More than enough for light work usage - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/805583

      • No Rendering, video editing, gaming or mining. Just lot of applications, browser tabs and charting. I want a PC that is quiet.

        • Just saw this comment, I'd still say go for our Aftersock build and upgrade the RAM and CPU to allow for the bulk applications and browser tabs to keep price down.

        • Likely that RAM is the most-critical part..32Gb or more ?

Look at your-system: what are the bottleneck-resource ?

Lots of readings…even-better speak to someone who is running a similar-system ?

'PC that is quiet': is when your CPU / GPU runs cool…may be harder during hot summer days with room temp. 30°C ish…compromise between preference, budget etc.
