Morning Legends!

You ask, we listen. Today we have a very limited run of 7800 XTs as stock for AMD graphics cards and pricing are tough to work with. You're in for a treat today!

The 7800XT has been benchmarked running 23% faster at 1440P and 24% faster at 4K against the RTX 4070 on Starfield. Moreover, impressively on Hogwarts Legacy at 1440P, it delivered 28% more than the 4070. I think we can all agree on what the best price to performance 1440P graphics card is today! NVIDIA might be in trouble…

The DarkFlash DLM200 case is also an awesome value copycat of the Corsair 4000D, looks fantastic for the price.

1% bank transfer discount still applies! Please choose bank transfer in checkout and send us a message. We will send you an updated invoice with the discount.

All purchases with the 7800XT until midnight on the 30th of September will be eligible for a copy of Starfield Premium from AMDs promotion, I highly suggest locking in your stock today if possible as Starfield Premium is valued at $169.95.

Introducing the Guardian – RX 7800XT
GPU - Sapphire Radeon RX 7800XT - 16GB
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 7500F | 6 Cores | 3.7 GHz (Max 5 GHz)
CPU Cooler – AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler
Motherboard – MSI PRO A620M-E DDR5
RAM – Kingston FURY Beast RGB 16GB (2x8GB) 5200MHz DDR5

PSU - DarkFlash GP650 650W Bronze
Case - DarkFlash DLM200 | 4 ARGB Fans (upgrade to Lian Li Lancool 216 and DeepCool Matrexx 50 available)

Recommended Upgrades:

  • I highly suggest upgrading the motherboard to the B650M-P for more features and a better board, we've priced this inexpensively below what the market price difference should be
  • A tower CPU cooler to reduce thermal throttling and increase performance
  • A 750W+ power supply if you plan on doing future upgrades. We've done thorough testing and research, with our base build with a 7500F and 7800XT a 650W power supply suffices. If you upgrade to a 7700+ CPU the 650W option will be hidden to be safe. AMD recommends a 700W power supply however this was tested with a 7950X which is far more power-hungry.

As always super pricing afrom the best custom builder on OzB

    • at what point would it not be considered custom anymore I wonder

  • No more wifi motherboards for guardian or breeze?

    • +4

Only MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WI-FI ATX - DDR5 is in stock but you have to pair with an ATX case. The mortar and other mATX models are out of stock with our suppliers. You guys have been destroying our stock haha.

The other solution is a Wi-Fi PCIE adaptor to USB one from our support section :).

      • +1

Or an Powerline Adapter if your home runs on the same power circuit.

      • Does a wifi pcie adaptor fit with all graphics cards on all these motherboards? Thanks

        • @Nebula PC or a fairer question, with the GPU in the base configuration (2.5 slot?) and the two non-wifi motherboards bring offered will a pcie wifi adaptor fit?

        • Not all, the higher you go we will hide the wifi card option as it won’t clear. For 4070 Ti+ it won’t clear on mATX boards sadly. You’ll have to get a wifi board or a usb wifi dongle :).

    • Nothing a $5 ebay USB wifi AC1200 dongle cant fix.

  • +2

FYI detailed specs for ram say 16gb (2x16gb) which I assume is meant to be 2x8gb.

    • +2

      Yes, typo there. Sorry! Fixed.

    • +3

      Hi Dienk,

I think there's a big misunderstanding here. You have the flexibility to choose a whole range of different parts to your liking and we build exactly to spec. Check out the product page! :D https://www.nebulapc.com.au/products/guardian.

We curate all the best value parts possible for the build for the base model as we assume it'll be the most popular due to its value. If you're looking for something particular I'm happy to source it for you at a reasonable price :).

  • +3

Havent recieved the PC yet, so can only speak to the purchasing experience, but so far Nebula have been amazing to deal with.
Prompt responses (often at times where i dont expect a response til the next business day), really helpful. Had been very helpful with the payment options (splitting payment method), and in other questions post purchase about the build. Appreciated that their responses to my questions on upgrades have been genuine (not just mindless upselling- in most cases the upgrades I questioned were that it wasnt worth it for my use).
Cant wait to see the actual PC, but so far - cant recommend them enough.

    • Won't be long my friend. Thank you so much for your kind words champ!

    • +1

Agreed, can't wait for my PC from Nebula as well. Lawrence put up with my millions of questions! Very helpful and didn't upsell at all. Actually said I was going over the top with my initial build and wasn't necessary.

  • Team. Tossing up between waiting for Black Friday specials (for a laptop) or something like this. Don't really take my laptop with me atm but have it hooked up as a home entertainment setup via hdmi to the big TV.

It's left on for big chunks of the day so would prefer more economical to run. Thoughts on this vs a laptop generally? What dimensions do these type of towers clock in these days? Much noiser than a laptop you reckon?

    • +1

      Hi Simmo,

In general, desktops are much better in terms of flexibility with upgradability and performance. Airflow is better and it won't be nearly as loud as a laptop as they're so packed tightly together to be portable. I'm not too sure of the exact specs of your laptop but I think if it's just used as home entertainment it won't be pulling much power, same with a desktop. You usually only use much more power when the PC is under heavy load.

For the dimensions it'll depend on the case you choose. The base model DLM200 dimensions are 381x208x425.5mm and our smallest case would be the MSI M100R.

      • Great. Thanks mate.
What tower would you recommend for the right mix between airflow and compactness? Will also have to lay down horizontally. Will be on display so nothing see through or too lights and action.

        • +2

I think go for the MSI M100R for compactness and airflow. Price also won't set you back an arm and a leg compared to ITX.

  • Nice build. Do you offer systems with GPU removed?

Also your website seems to list the 7800xt at 12gb, but it's 16 yeah?

    • Let me fix that again, sorry for the typo… Thanks for spotting that!

Yes, if you want a system without GPU we can organise that for you. Send me a message on our live chat! :)

  • Perhaps it would be better if you offered a recommended build as a default and downgrade options for those who'd like to go to extremes when saving, particularly MB, PSU, cooler. Rather than something that "sort of works" but not recommended and you definitely should upgrade half of the components.

    • +1

      Hi abm77,

I wouldn't say the base build sort of works, it actually works great haha! It's just that for most people they want the best for what they buy. A lot of customers ask what they should upgrade so I thought it'd be good to put a few on the post of what I'd recommend if you have the extra budget. Otherwise, whether you upgrade anything or not the PC will be plug and play and ready to go no matter what :).

  • Do you have a graphics card package? There are too many msi inside, and it feels like there are few options.

    • I'm not sure what you mean by that. We have a good relationship with MSI and we try keep the range smaller so we can pass on more discounts to you.

    • +1

MSI is a good brand, better than no name brand.

  • Damn these prebuilts are starting to look very nice. I’m definitely tempted. I want something that can do 4K 60fps to use as a couch/TV setup, but from what I understand FSR is still a bit behind nvidias DLSS

    • Would an Xbox Series X or a PS5 suits you better for a couch/tv setup?

    • The 7800 XT averages 60fps in Hardware Unboxed's 4k raster test suite. Its only really the most demanding games/heavy RT that will see it dip significantly below.

DLSS is the better upscaler, but the difference is more apparent at lower resolutions - they both look great with 4k output resolution and Quality/Ultra Quality. I don't think there would be a big difference viewing from the couch.

  • +1

Waiting for the "upgrade RAM to 2x16GB" guy.

        • Idk there’s two extremes

          Either

          Classic Camry (usually in white)

          Or

          High yield investment bmw/merc

  • will it ship to new zealand?

    • Hey mate,

Happy to do this for you, send me a PM :).

  • Is there any noticable differences between a WiFi MB v a WiFi USB/PCIe dongle?

    • It's mostly space constraints, but a Wi-Fi PCIE dongle is the best value option.

    • A lot of Wifi USB sticks suck because of the Realtek chips manufactures insist on putting in them.

  • Morning Legends! reminds of "what's up YouTube"

  • Noob here:

is this a good upgrade from what I have

    R5 3600
    B450 MSI Mortar Max
    Rx 660xt
    16gb DDR4 RAM

    Thank you

    • Hahaha that's all good!

I think the above is still a good PC for mid-range 1080P gaming. This build is a ripper 1440P machine. This isn't the most accurate benchmark source but assuming it's correct, it's quite an upgrade - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wu3SwB4EX0Y&t=1s. Almost double the FPS on multiple games.

Plus you get the performance boost from the new Ryzen 7000 series CPUs and DDR5 RAM.

    • very good upgrade

    • Very large upgrade… but to be honest you wont really notice a difference unless your playing the latest games that don't run on your current system.
With what i play that R5 3600 + 6600XT would run everything perfect. so i would see no difference at all… Everyone is different

  • ordered. thanks

    • +1

      Cheers Davo!

  • +1

why don't other stores stock the AMD 7500F, seems exclusive to prebuilders?

    • That is correct, it isn't for sale in the Australian market :).

  • @Nebula PC I have an intel 2500k and it seems to be able to handle most basic tasks well. Will this be a significant upgrade not planning on doing much gaming?

    • Absolutely, you’re going from a generation of CPUs from 2011 to now 2023. It’ll be a massive improvement!

  • +1

Are most games supporting amd's dlss now?

    • I believe DLSS is NVIDIA’s technology, not AMD. They have their own version.

    • I believe it's FSR and yes most games I've loaded have supported it on my rx6800

      • Thanks. Might be good to consider amd gpus now then since they have good value performance wise.

        • Yeah my build with a 5700x and a 6800 cost me $1300 and can run Cyberpunk at 1440p ultra around 90fps+. Sadly though they are a bit behind with ray tracing that's one thing to think about.

          • @lookingforadeal7: I keep Ray trace off so all good.

            • @Oauiii: If you want ray tracing the OZB_ASCENT_SPECIAL deal is about $50 more.

But I think for future proof (with updated drivers & FSR3), the 7800XT 16GB will beat the 4070 12GB in more games (except heavy RT games).
The 7800XT will be better at 4K than 4070 due to the extra VRAM.
NV should be lower the price of 4070 to match 7800XT.

              Also the 7800Xt has HDMI 2.1a & displayPort 2.1 versus displayPort 1.4 & HDMI 2.1.

              • @congo: My friends told me that amd has some heating issues. Do you see this as well?

                • @Oauiii: Yes for the 6000 series, the 6950XT is good but draws a lot of power and runs hot.
7000 series is more efficient using less watts but not as good as NV.
7800XT is new, but I guess it would run a little hotter than 4070 but not as bad as 6000 series.

  • Hi,
    Super deal, thanks!
If we pay by bank transfer today, will we be eligible for a copy of Starfield Premium ?
    Thanks

    • +1

Yes, it’s all based on order date. You will be eligible.

  • Is 7600X worth the extra $140 (over 7500F) ?

    • In my opinion yes, it has that extra grunt for CPU intensive tasks.

      • +2

Are you sure about that? The comparisons show them being extremely close, to the point of it being negligible.

  • Would buying this to play Civ6 and City Skyline 2 be overkill?

    • +2

      Hey Jayz,

I’d say so, you really only need a 4060 on 1080p for those kind of games. Even 1440P it’ll be fine. Check out our Fracture deal my friend! 😁😁

  • Thanks a lot for all these deals!!!

Would you be able to do a deal with the RX 7900XT/XTX or the RTX 4080?

Been looking around for a good build with those cards for a while.

    Thanks

    • +2

      Hi DBZ,

At this stage no sorry. There’s very little stock and demand for those cards. Stock comes so slow and we don’t want to overstock on those cards. You can upgrade to a 4080 on our builder if you’d like? Otherwise we can source a 7900XT/X for you.

      • Hey Mate,

        Thanks for your reply.

I'm considering the 7900 XT. What would the build cost be with that card, keeping everything else the same?

        • Hey DBZ,

Shoot me a message on our live chat, we'll work it out. It will depend on the brand you want and stock availability. Price difference shouldn't be too much!

  • Was hoping for 4070 Ti, but 7800XT will be alright (just have to turn off ray tracing) :-)
I placed the order, waiting for updated invoice, thanks Op!

    • +1

      On it Cong!

  • Well starfield pushed me over the edge, just placed an order but somehow optioned it up to over $2000…. ah well, it's replacing a computer from 2014 so its about time for an upgrade!

    • 😁😁, Starfield is an awesome promo from AMD this time round! Thank you for your order!

  • +1

Any luck on just getting the GPU itself? Deal is way to good to pass on ahaha

    • +1

Yep sure can, could you send me a live chat message and we can organise that? :)

  • If I mod this myself, eg swap cooler for a Noctua I have spare, would I void warranty?

    • Asked him yesterday via chat he said no unless what you do caused damage etc all parts supplied by them will still be covered

      • Thanks

        • No, not at all. We're all for the right to repair and modification for something you purchase. There are limits obviously, as long as the parts don't affect ours and are compatible. Our full warranty there is here Puti! https://www.nebulapc.com.au/pages/warrranty

Any questions, let me know champ.

          Cheers.

  • Tempted, any feedback on the Lian Li O11 Air Mini ATX upgrade? Has anybody gone the mini ATX route before?

    • +1

Oh it’s actually just the product name being Lian Li O11 Air Mini. The case itself is large, it can fit ATX motherboards. It’s low in height but wide in width. I should edit the name to make it more clear.

Airflow wise and build quality, Lian Li is top quality. Plenty of reviews online with this case :).

  • Damn was too slow to lock in Starfield 😭

    • +3

Did you make your order yet? I'll take care of you, don't worry.

      • No, haven't placed an order, playing around with upgrade options, it's been ~15 years since I built my last PC, let's just say I'm a little out of the loop!

        • +3

Haha, that's all good, plenty are on the same boat. If you're lost send me a message on our live chat and I'll sort you out!

  • -1

Does it come with windows installed?

    • Our PCs come plug and play, Windows options are available.

    • by default Installed, but not activated.

Unactivated = watermark on bottom right

    • I recall there was a cdkeys website or ebay that sold Windows keys for around $15?
Not sure if these are still around.

      • They are
