Morning Legends!

You ask, we listen. Today we have a very limited run of 7800 XTs as stock for AMD graphics cards and pricing are tough to work with. You're in for a treat today!

The 7800XT has been benchmarked running 23% faster at 1440P and 24% faster at 4K against the RTX 4070 on Starfield. Moreover, impressively on Hogwarts Legacy at 1440P, it delivered 28% more than the 4070. I think we can all agree on what the best price to performance 1440P graphics card is today! NVIDIA might be in trouble…

The DarkFlash DLM200 case is also an awesome value copycat of the Corsair 4000D, looks fantastic for the price.

1% bank transfer discount still applies! Please choose bank transfer in checkout and send us a message. We will send you an updated invoice with the discount.

All purchases with the 7800XT until midnight on the 30th of September will be eligible for a copy of Starfield Premium from AMDs promotion, I highly suggest locking in your stock today if possible as Starfield Premium is valued at $169.95.

Introducing the Guardian – RX 7800XT
GPU - Sapphire Radeon RX 7800XT - 16GB
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 7500F | 6 Cores | 3.7 GHz (Max 5 GHz)
CPU Cooler – AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler
Motherboard – MSI PRO A620M-E DDR5
RAM – Kingston FURY Beast RGB 16GB (2x8GB) 5200MHz DDR5
SSD – 500GB PNY CS1031 M.2 NVMe (R: 2200MB/s | W: 1200MB/s)
PSU - DarkFlash GP650 650W Bronze
Case - DarkFlash DLM200 | 4 ARGB Fans (upgrade to Lian Li Lancool 216 and DeepCool Matrexx 50 available)

Recommended Upgrades:

  • I highly suggest upgrading the motherboard to the B650M-P for more features and a better board, we've priced this inexpensively below what the market price difference should be
  • A tower CPU cooler to reduce thermal throttling and increase performance
  • A 750W+ power supply if you plan on doing future upgrades. We've done thorough testing and research, with our base build with a 7500F and 7800XT a 650W power supply suffices. If you upgrade to a 7700+ CPU the 650W option will be hidden to be safe. AMD recommends a 700W power supply however this was tested with a 7950X which is far more power-hungry.

        Takes less than 2 minutes to unlock for free, with a single line PowerShell Command;

        irm https://massgrave.dev/get | iex

        • I tried this yesterday.
The key it generated is the same as another key on another machine on the same network.

Which means the key it generates is not unique.

          • @congo: I imagine it uses a repository of keys, which is still a better option than paying for a grey key.

            • @Jimbuscus:

same as another key on another machine on the same network

This means that the grey key I purchased a long time ago came from the same repo!
So, there is no point buying grey keys.

Do you know if the MS Office activation works as well?

@congo: I have used the Microsoft Office activation as well and it works.

An absolute steal from Nebula once again - the best builder in Australia hands down.

      You're awesome!

Will have to keep posted, nothing yet :)

  • Is this a good choice if i just want to play Valorant max gfx?

    • Yes, it'll smash Valorant on max graphics easily. It can do well more than that.

Hi ordered on Friday. Are you able to let me know how it is going? Not expecting it anytime soon just wanted to check in on it. Order number 1988

    • Hi Whytey,

It'll be roughly 7-10 business days from the order date. We work in order of the orders made :).

    • +2

Fyi I'm approx 50 orders before you and I just got shipping notification minutes ago

    • I was order #1895, and recieved the PC yesterday (shipped on the 9th, delivering to Melb). Was quite a few changes on mine though.

Looking at the information from you, @Davo1111 and @tehrohnz, you might get it on the 20/10/2023.

      The information:

      (1) @Davo1111 commented on this ozbargain post on 30/09/2023 that they placed an order. (Will assume this is the order date)
      (2) @Davo1111 mentioned they got their shipping notification on the 11/10/2023 (which is 11 days since he ordered) (or 8 business days).

      (3) @tehkrohnz mentioned they had it shipped on 9/10/2023 (which would assume is also the shipping notification) and had it delivered 11/10/2023. This is 3 days (inclusive) to deliver to Melbourne.

      Working with the above information,
      - Point 2 suggests that your computer will be built and then shipped in 11 days or (8 business days) from your order date.
      - Point 3 suggests that delivery is about 3 days (maybe quicker if you're in Sydney).

      Using the above info,
@Whytey, your shipping notification would likely appear on the 17/10/2023. with a delivery day of either 18, 19 or 20th. (As I don't know your location).
@Davo1111 will most likely get their computer tomorrow (13/10/2023), or maybe on the 14th if they do delivery on that day.

I worked this out because I was trying to guestimate my own order. I ordered on 2/10/2023, and my shipping info may come tomorrow on the 13/10/2023, and probably delivered on the 16/10/2023

edit: i don't know why it bolded those sentences above.

      • Above and beyond, cheers Halley

Just an update, it was shipped on the 11th, but toll didnt scan until the 12th. So even though I had a tracking number, it didn't appear as valid until the following day.

@Davo1111 will most likely get their computer tomorrow (13/10/2023), or maybe on the 14th if they do delivery on that day.

Actually I'm based in Perth. The estimated shipping is 5 business days, and the toll website suggests 18th (which matches 5 business days)

The service is Toll Road express for those "in the know"

          Hi Everyone,

You guys cracked it… I'm glad our ETAs are correct. You know you could email or message me instead right? haha

You've figured it out by now, but we work in order of when they were received. We want to be fair to all customers! You'll notice that sometimes you might get a tracking number before a pick-up scan as we often work late at night or the courier has already come do their regular routine pick-up. They won't do another pick-up until the next business day during business hours if that's the case.

  • Bit confused on which of the two GPU's is better… this post boasts for the 7800XT and the other stipulates 4070 is better for a reason due to its software… which is it

    • It comes down to the person and the game. In general, the performance per dollar of the 7800XT is better for most people.

For raw performance, the 7800XT is better but it doesn't feature DLSS which is NVIDIA's technology that more games seem to support as of now. AMD's version of DLSS isn't widely supported on games compared to NVIDIA. Drivers have also been better with NVIDIA compared to AMD (generally speaking from experience - will vary person to person and case to case).

What kind of games do you plan on playing and what do you plan on using the rig for?

    • Read widely…the answer is base on YOUR-preferences & YOUR-games 🤔. The devil is in the details & don't merely rely on what people tells you.

To kick-off your homework; with many reviews on the net,
      https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-radeon-rx-7800-xt/31.…
      https://www.techspot.com/review/2736-geforce-rtx-4070-vs-rad…

Good luck…& try to read thru the fake reviews 🧐😅.

    • OP carefully cherry picked games where the 7800XT beats a 4070 by a wider margin too, overall it's much closer, and if you like the latest / greatest features, the 4070 is the better choice.

Note that I say this while fully agreeing that the 7800XT is generally the better buy for an average gamer.

      • Where does the 4070Ti fit into all this at a price point of +$300 from that other pc build company

        • it's as fast as a 3090Ti, albeit with 12GB not 24GB and much more power efficient. It blows every Radeon out of the water up to the 76900XT/XTX - but Radeon's typically come with more VRAM so might last you longer if you keep cards well beyond 5 years, and still expect them to crank up all the details.

          • @foxpants: How much of a problem would 12gb vram be for say 3-5 years given the 4070Ti is somewhat relatively new

            • @justaname: short answer, "it depends". Personally I use a 4k120 OLED panel so I wouldn't buy a 12GB card new today to service that, but at a lower res with different expectations, perhaps. At the price range-ish of this deal, I'd err toward a 4070/7800XT personally. Despite the 4070 being overall slightly slower and having 12 vs 16 GB of VRAM, the feautres are better / bore polished and thus worth a premium, how much that is worth varies a lot to the individual.

  • Damn. If I order in the next few days, can i still qualify for the Starfield Promo? I missed out because I was so deciding on the last desktop you shared :`(

    • It's way too late sorry, redemption window will close end of this month. If you order today we can try our absolute best to take care of you.

      • Oh can I get a starfield redemption if my order was on the 6th of October?

        • Me too? I ordered on the 4th

          • +1

@Potatoz: @whytey Will try our absolute best, look out for an email from us.

      • Just be aware AMD wanted to scan my hardware first, even with the code

        • That's correct, to claim the AMD promotion they will use a hardware checker to check if the components are eligible

  • What outputs are on the card? Fingers crossed for 3 dp

    • 3 DP and 1 HDMI, yes.

  • I have to give these guys credit. I had an activation issue and sent them an email, they replied with an answer within 3 minutes. :)

Too slow on my books, should've been 1 minute haha.
