OP… can you please confirm the processor? i5-11th does narrow down the options much. Many thanks. :)

It is an i5 1145G7 Processor

Thats a pretty cool design, not so cool without the stand.

if you don't have the stand, which i do, better get a mini pc with intel n300/n305 for similar performance.

    • Agreed especially when you factor in stand or mount cost.

Honestly I'd just use some velcro tape to stick it onto the back of any monitor haha

I am considering Ryzen 5800u at this price

      • right, new one with ~2x performance, why not.

    • Are there many around at this price point? With thunderbolt?

      • NUC 9 extreme i7 will be your choice

        • Not even close to the same price? $699 for barebone….

          • @ONEMariachi: Around $400 brand new in China during double 11 promo now if you can source it.Thunderbolt is the only reason to get it at this price otherwise you can check out latest more powerful Minisforum mini pc.

            • @wt860: the minisforum is Ryzen yeah? I'm looking for Intel for quicksync, primary usage is plex server.

              • @ONEMariachi: Minisforum also has Intel based barebone on sales. Around US$350 you can get a i7 12650H mini pc. Much better specs to NUC if you don't need pcie expansion and thunderbolt

        for similar performance choose i5-1135G7.
a bit more expensive (AU$436.84 + GST for barebone) however it's new.

  • Is the ram upgradable?

    • Yes

  • Can this unit be retro-fitted into a certain range of existing Dell monitors? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

    • These kind of items from dell could be combined with specific compatible stand, which is not included in this item.
After you bought this item and stands (https://www.google.com/search?q=Dell+OEM+OptiPlex+3090+7070+…)like this, this stand/PC can be attached to monitor with dell lock or VESA mount.

So, If you have dell monitor, you could retro-fit those with stands. or else, you could just use it as other sff pcs.

similar with these dells micro pc stands, but more tidy

      • Without the stand, I think it would just be easier to get a mini pc box and stick it to the back of a monitor, that way can use an existing monitor arm as well. Price would be similar to this too,

        • Honestly, you can just use cable ties to attach these to your exisiting arms/stands

  • where to buy the stand? Its interesting design and I already got few Dell monitors

    • Probably 3D print something…

  • thats thin..!!

Looks like a laptop motherboard, crammed into a plastic shell.

Not really a revelation lol, that's how ultra SFF works.

  • would buy it if it is with stand & included cables…Nice design.
