Hmmmmm, I had a coded padlock on my suitcase at the airport, the customs wanted to check the suitcase and I couldn't remember the code anymore. They had no problems opening my suitcase by force.

1 Broken and utterly useless suitcase $89,-
1 Emergency suitcase bought at the airport $119,-

I guess Aussie custom officers are clueless as to what bolt cutters are :o\

    • LOL, they must've thought you were a drug courier or something!

  • make a shim. Or use a hacksaw.

Edit: yep… posted then looked at YouTube link

  • If you don't want to borrow a pair of bolt cutters or an angle grinder, you could use a full-size hacksaw. It'll be slow going though, depending on the lock. Whichever method you use, remember that the lock and tool will both get hot in the process.
