  • A serious question - what qualifies a mouse to be "superlight", in contrast, to say "extralight", or even "moderatelylight", or finally "notsoheavy"?

And does it really matter for a small object you are dragging along a mouse pad (of whatever superlative), where gravity and friction don't seem to be all that important?

    • +4

Gravity doesn't matter, but friction absolutely matters (mousepad surface material and mouse feet material). The main reason that a lighter mouse is more ideal (mostly for competitive gaming) has to do with inertia. The lower the weight, the easier it is to bring the mouse to a stop, or to start moving it from a standstill. If you're not into competitive gaming, it's not worth thinking about, but if you are, it can arguably make a big difference.

      • +1

        That makes sense.

  • Can anyone comment on using these? Cheers

Great mouse and great value. USB-C, comes with nice cable, very responsive. Plastic is slippery but comes with grip, and can always replace with cheap grip tape (no rubbery stuff that can go sticky after a while). Would be perfect if it also had blueooth.

  • This or Deathadder v2 Pro?

    • +1

Quite different mouse body shape. So really depends on personal perference on how you hold or grip the mouse.

for what it's worth - I like Logitech mx518, G502, this rapoo mouse and hated the deathadder.

    • +1

Depends on your hand size, mouse grip style and weight preferences. They're quite different mice.

    I am purchasing this mouse again - for $40, it's a steal.

My son does think that there's a slight lag using the mouse wirelessly when the USB dongle is plugged directly to the PC (~1m distance).
We connected the dongle via usb-c cable (to act as an extension) and he reckons it is much more responsive.

Probably a non-issue/placebo effect but he stopped whinging about missing his valorant/fortnight omgz boom!headshot!

  • Switched to this mouse from a Deathadder Chroma and while the change in shape was a little disconcerting after a while I found it fine. Pretty good deal for $40.

  • Cant comment on this specific mouse but I have been using Rapoo products for years as my on the road gadgets and love them particularly the MT750 which is a Logitech MX3 clone at a third of the price. They are quality built and last for years.

  • I got mine today, feels light, and nice. usb c charging which is cool. will play soem games tonight

  • Mine seems to have a dud mouse 4 button (thumb back), anyone else's like that?

feels like there's not even a switch attached to it..

    • mine feels fine, clicks nice and loud, very tactile. maybe have to send it back and get a replacement?

My Experience so far in the approx 3 weeks using this.
Received the Mouse from Amazon and 4K receiver from Ali. Immediately notice the weight differential from the G502 Lightspeed. Driver/Software is hell simple but words better than GHUB, so the bar is low. Fired up Spiltgate, ran the training level and calibrated the sensitivity my setting are copied from Shroud: 41.5 cm/360 @ 800 dpi.
There was a little adjustment with the low weight but didn't take long for me to get top kills few matches in a row.
So far been excellent and cant tell the difference between the regular receiver vs the 4K one, as I just got it today. But time will tell.

    • does it matter on the 4k reciever? i get some stutter when i play counterstrike once in a while where it feels like it dosnt pick up the mousepad and skips. Usb is about 60cm away from mouse.

      • Its meant to improve latency and this is my only 4k polling mouse so sadly I don't have a point of comparison. My receiver is about 40cm away and never had any stutter from the default USB dongle. My gut feel is that you have some interference or not enough power from the USB port.

        • Thanks for the feedback, you might have a point if im pulling too much power. ill move some usbs to another source as i am running multple things from a laptop. cheers.

          • @poidaa: Nws, good luck.
I know from exp that insufficient USB power can cause all sorts of funky behavior.
