There are some seriously awesome classics in this bundle.
This is what is included, all for $7.50:

  1. Bulletstorm (regular price $14.85) - (activates separately)
  2. Mirror's Edge (regular price $14.70) - (activates on Origin)
  3. Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box (regular price $19.95) - (activates on Origin)
  4. The Saboteur(regular price $15.20) - (activates on Origin)
  5. Mercenaries 2: World In Flames (regular price $9.99) - (activates separately)

I don't know how long this lasts, but if you don't already have these games then I can personally recommend the first four games, haven't played Mercenaries 2.

3 of them activate on origin 2 others are not

also this lasts a week amazon has a weekly deal this is this weeks one

    • Thanks I've added all that info.

    • Interestingly when I added "The Sabatour" to Origin it gave me the choice of various language versions to add .. and Spore - chose one once only option.

      • so it gave you spore as well?

        • It gives you the option of Spore (German) with all the other language options for The Saboteur when you activate. I chose English Saboteur though, no idea what would have happened if I chose Spore.

Maybe put PC in the title.

    • +3

No need to neg this ^ person. OP had left "PC" out. Fixed now.

  • which ones work on origin?
are the 2 others just run independant of any other launcher

    • Only 3 of the 5 codes will redeem on Origin. None of them will redeem on Steam. I was expecting, being an EA bundle, that all 5 codes would be redeemable on Origin. But, Bulletstorm and Mercenaries 2 are not. They are still downloadable through Amazon, though, so I won't give it a bad rating. You can still receive all of your games.

      • +3

Further comments says you can activate Mercenaries 2 on your EA account game and it will show up on your Origin account once you do. Link:
        https://activate.ea.com/activategame.do

As for Bulletstorm .. contact customer support via live chat or phone & tell them to redeem it for you

Refer to comments for more info or clarification.

        • +2

          I had the opposite.
I could activate BulletStorm but not Mercenaries 2 via https://www.origin.com/activate

Couldn't log into https://activate.ea.com/activategame.do but I'm doing all this from work so could be blocked.

Perhaps with a combination of the two you can activate all games on Origin.
          :)

        • As neolstewartx suggested, the combination of both gets it all 5 games onto your origins account. :)

  • This is an outstanding deal. I personally enjoyed Mercs 2, and I can only imagine what mods have done to it since the last time I've played it.

  • Great deal, played and own 3 of them already but for $10 I will get them again for the origin keys and the other two that I don't own :D

  • Why do people like playing games using origin or steam? just curious not trying to be rude

    • It's more of the convenience of having all your game short cuts in one place really. The overlay so you can chat to friends in the meantime is nice too. Not a deal-breaker but a convenient feature/addition to your gaming.

Here are some reasons why I find Steam to be a great platform:

      • Lists all of your games in 1 place whether you have them downloaded/installed or not
      • Very easy and simple changeover for people who are used to console gaming as everything is in the 1 place (games, friends, store, etc)
      • Your game saves get backed up to the Steam Cloud so you can play on a different computer or uninstall a game then reinstall at a later date and just continue right where you left off
      • You can download games a lot faster (& you can also download unmetered if your ISP hosts a steam content server - which the main aussie ISPs all do)
      • You can sort your games into custom categories (for instance I have FPS, Racing, Indie, Single Player, 'Games I want to play' and a few other categories)
      • Social system where you can easily join friends' multiplayer games & instant message chat
      • Integrated voice chat
      • Achievements (some people like me don't really care but for some people this is a big thing)
      • Your e-peen grows with the more games you own
      • STEAM SUMMER SALE!!!

Overall it's the convenience and social aspects that make Steam a superior platform for PC gaming.

      • One of the biggest advantages IMO - it automatically downloads and applies updates. That and being able to just right-click to install something makes me want to have everything on Steam if possible.

      • +1

Origin isn't bad though in and of itself, the service works well enough and they sometimes have good sales too. Competition can't hurt either, even if it's not as good as Steam ;).

        • origin never has sales that are worth anything
and when they do its for stuff that is wayy old
like bf3 for 10 $ the reason for that is because no one wants just the original now they know they will get more money for people purchasing the premium packs after
where steam does not do this

        • What do you mean Steam does not do this? On the front page of Steam atm is ARMA 2 for $30, which is a 2 year old game. Basically just exploiting the DayZ mod for high-priced sales of an old game. BF3 for $10 sounds fantastic in comparison to that.

Anyway, to me the sales are great, but I'd still be using Steam even if they didn't have sales. The convenience of having everything in the one place, being able to right-click to install any game I own, and having it automatically download & install updates, all makes Steam well worthwhile IMO.

        • Bohemia interactive have always charged alot for their games and the prices rarely drop its cheaper on steam then it is on their own website
dont forget steam charged compared to what the publishers negotiate
where origin they are the publishers they charge anything they want which is alot
          Spore is still $50

        • The other good thing about Orgin vs Steam is that Orgin doesn't (for better or worse) update the client every other day when I load up my games. The downloads are also substantially faster for me on Origin (800KB/s vs 300KB/s)

      • The sales are the main thing, the others are nice but not dealmakers.

      • You forgot the Steam Workshop, for all dem' Skyrim mods and community made stuff for other games.

    • Just for the digital copy really. Easy to download whenever you want, no fishing about for game boxes when you really want to play something. A physical CD could also get scratched and break, digital won't.

Other than that I no longer have an internal optical drive in my main PC, just a basic external which gets used rarely :)

      • i havnt had an optical drive for about 5 years lol :D i see a future where dvd's wont exsist

        • Before DVDs there were CDs, which basically don't exist (for software at least), and before that there were 3.5" floppies, and before that 5.25" floppies, and before that 8" floppies… It's not exactly surprising that DVDs at some point won't exist.

        • ive expected it to happen sooner then it has

  • i have added my US friend's address, then it is asking for the credit card… added my nab card but still it says download only for US… any idea?

Edit: made the US address as default address.
Edit 2: updated the billing address to the US address and it is working.

  • "To purchase, you need a fake US address"

To purchase you need commit address fraud you mean?

    • +3

they started it - discrimination by country is against the spirit of the US-AUS FTA?!?

      • Actually it isn't. There is an article in there which specifically states price discrepancies between countries is ok.

        • But… it's against the vibe of the agreement.

    • +2

"Address Fraud"? Is that a legal term?

Don't forget we're talking about someone trying to rip us off by charging us an higher price for no reason whatsoever.

  • Can someone help me figure out how to gift one or two games to friends out of the list of 5?

    • Copy and paste the code in a email to him/her?

  • why i cant purchase with paypal…..aaarggggghhh i am a cranky old man

    • Use a credit card only..

  • DAMMIT! They just released a 25% off voucher. Could have got the 5 game pack for $7.50 rather than the $10 I paid. The ozbarg'er in me just died a little…
