Ozgameshop should do this for all steamwork games!

  • thanks, great price, had a sneaky $5 off code I didn't know about as well! double bargain

  • Got an email with a code for $5 off. It says it's only for selected users, so try it and hope for the best.

    Code: COME-BACK-5-OFF

    • I had this code too, was going to post it in the deal but thought against it. Oh well if it works for everyone then good luck to you.

    • Doesn't work for everyone, it seems: "This voucher code is only available to selected users"
      Thanks anyway :)

  • Nice, wish Xbox would do steam.

Also got Borderlands 1 Game of the Year new, for $24 from EB Games, on sale atm.

Cheaper here http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/80404 (got mine for $21)

To be fair, that cheaper one is a different version. It's the Russian version, which will add a useless Russian copy to your steam library, alongside the RoW version. Some people don't want unplayable games listed in their Steam libraries. While others may not want to support unauthorized resellers.

  • Does the e-mail come automatically?

  • I'm just wondering, how are we sure that it's legit?

    • You ever shopped at Ozgameshop before?

      • No I haven't. I'm just curious how other shops can get Steam games at a cheaper price than Steam and be legit. Like, does anyone know how their business work?

        • -1

Do you know how wholesalers work?

        • It is common. Amazon for instance also sell digital download games which are steam activate-able and are sometimes (quite a lot) cheaper than steam.

Well ozgameshop is based in the UK, their wholesale game prices are usually cheaper than our australian regional pricing on steam or god forbid buying retail (less than half price). They are an awesome site and have free postage on all their games, I have pre-ordered some stuff from them and it's all good. I assume the Steam codes are just taken from the boxes of the Steamworks games they are selling instead of posting them out to you so they can offer at a cheaper price.

Some games that are $90 on our Steam store (Call of duty modern warfare 2) are only $20 in USA store for example. Here's a page with some of the biggest rip-offs: http://www.steamprices.com/au/topripoffs

  • Just noticed it's gone up to $37.99
