      Don't have any recommendations in the $50 price range.

      Personally, I've been switching between the Sofirn SC31 Pro, Wuben C3 and Sofirn HS40 Headlamp, which are around the ~AU$35 price range.

        Awesome torch. Very compact 21700 torch. Beam pattern is good for short to medium range. Quite floody but does have a hotspot for throw.

      Sofirn SP33S. Currently $55 AUD delivered from Sofirnlight. It has very high sustained output, which is important for my usage. The Sofirn IF25A is also great if you want a more compact option, but the sustained output is lower.

      The IF25A with battery ends up at about $44 AUD, which is a bit cheaper than when I bought it.
      (It appears you will need to add something worth $1.26 USD to get free shipping though. The IF25A diffuser is $2 and super handy.

      I also love the SP33S. It's quite a bit chunkier than the IF25A, but it has a quality LED driver, and one of the highest sustained outputs (1800 lumen for 20+ minutes) of any torch I have seen in the price / size range. It's about $55 AUD currently.

      IMO the SC18 is also fantastic for a very compact 18650 torch, and a bargain at about $20 AUD with battery. I just stocked up on these as gifts.
