Suggest a Gift for 50th Wedding Anniversary

We are invited to a 50th wedding anniversary. This is a couple that we just met once and it is for their parents visiting from overseas. This is common among cultures like India where they invite a lot of people. I will attend, not that I dislike them but we barely know them but will maintain a good relationship. The venue is an Indian restaurant.

What would be an appropriate gift for the senior couple having their anniversary? Is a $50 budget OK?

Are they shouting dinner? If so my policy is always to cover at least the cost of meal and drinks.

      Yes

  • A nice serving plate?

  • First thing that came to my mind was a 3-wick scented candle from Bath and Body Works. They're around ~50 RRP but check for sales.

Alternative, Charmed Aroma candles since they have unique jar designs.

Find out what blows their hair back and get them a relevant voucher, or a ticket for 2 to something unique to here, that they would enjoy.

Maybe they enjoy treating other people? By that logic, why do people ask others to celebrate their birthday?

  • Hearing aids. These will be handy and useful if not this year, soon.

  • Well, its a gold anniversary so something gold?
