    Looks like a paramedics bag

    • all colours are that price

i have several. the positive of the lighter colours is they stand out. You can spot the bag being loaded on/off the plane, and it never gets accidently picked up on the luggage carousel by other people.

The down side is they are more prone to marking.

      • Came back recently and I picked up my yellow duffle lady right next to me says it was hers… pointed to the name tag and she realised it was mine, next thing her one pops out… never thought that would happen

Same thing happened to me at the hospital with my firstborn. It was weird when her one popped out.

        • Wow. I have additional markings on mine, particularly on the black ones. But thought it was a bit redundant…I guess not.

      • How's quality?

          They are excellent duffels.

But unless you really need something heavy duty, mostly waterproof, and capable of holding spiky/sharp/dangerous objects, it's overkill for normal applications.

I use mine to haul around my winter hiking/climbing gear - crampons, axes, holds, rope etc.

If you are just carrying clothes or food get a normal bag.

          • @Telios: Thanks Telios, I'm looking for a heavy duty waterproof duffel for motorbike touring. It should sit across the pillion seat nicely.

I think they are great. I use them for international travel and going to mining camps. My safety gear and mining clothing is getting out of control (particularly in harsh environments) so I keep having to upsize - hence 3.

They are not particularly comfortable for carrying long distances. After about 15kg it gets a bit much.

In the end, it's a bag made of that thick plastic like a circus tent. Big zippers, and a double layered base. Simple design

          • @Davo1111: Thanks Davo. It hould suit my purposes perfectly. See above

            • @intybe: Good luck in your trip

For emergencies I have 2 strips of gaffa tape on the inside panel, just in case it gets pierced. Never had to use it.

Fyi the zips are not water proof. Imo it's more of an issue when the bag isn't full as water can pool on the top

It's lasted me well, every few trips I hang it from a tree, spray detergent and hose it down

              • @Davo1111: Thanks Davo, will do. Great your happy with the bag

  • how's this comparing with this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/811465 ? seems the similar size 71L vs 75L. I know they are different. Just be curious how people would go with? Can't find much info on the Black Wolf pack tho.

That's a hiking backpack, not a duffel. It has a proper harness for your back (including hip belt).

Don't use a duffel for hiking.

The material on a duffel is thicker

If you're going to Europe or something, put your backpack in a bag for flights, so the straps don't get caught and ripped off. Qantas used to have thick bags at check in. Otherwise I've put it in a drawstring bag before.

      • Thanks for the input! I don't tend to go for any serious hiking. But be working about the Black Wolf bag I refer to is not durable enough. And also can't take that bag as a duffel bag. That's what I'm straggling. lol. Thanks for sharing your insights. very useful! Cheers

Jump on FB marketplace and search "backpack". Plenty of 80L packs from eurotrips and school hikes for sub $60.
