While it works as an AirFryer, it does create a mess and the heating elements are hard to clean. Otherwise its a nice unit, but not for airfying anything oily like bought frozen chips

    • Line the airfry tray with baking paper and/or leave the roaster on the bottom shelf.

Awesome unit I use it for every meal.

      • That stops the air circulating around the fries, which is why you get an air fryer. It is designed that way. Otherwise the tray wouldnt have the holes.

I have my $45 30L air fryer oven from Coles delivered today, I'm goochi.

  • Wonder why these are so popular in the US, but not here. Travelled around the US recently, and pretty much every house I went to had one of these

    • +3

I thought pretty much every house here had one now days.

As a side note the US version of this has more functionality. Things like dehydrate.

      Great deal op.

    • +1

US version is also bigger with an exrra shelf.

    • Breville is remarkably well placed and respected as an affordable premium brand there.

Though I suppose you might be talking about toaster ovens, in which case their popularity is somewhat regional, quite common in areas where counter space is more plentiful, since they are strictly more efficient than using a full sized oven when cooking/heating smaller amounts. Also they are handy for heating leftovers quickly without heating up the entire kitchen, which makes them also popular in homes where people accumulate leftovers often (think: thanksgiving dinner leftovers can last for weeks)

  • I noticed there is a smart oven pro aswell. So is there a smart oven pro air fryer?

    • No, BOV900 is US only as far as I'm aware.

  • Good deal op. Been waiting for a price drop.

There is also a Breville promotion for salt and pepper grinders too.

Does anyone know if this model fixes the fan issues of earlier models (without the air fryer)?

I'm still running the older model which has a noisy almost seizing fan, inconsistent heating elements, and start button needs to be pressed 3-4 times to start it.

    • +1

I've got this model and don't have those issues.

      • awesome, thanks ! Just bought.

  • Ok I am falling behind the trends. With all these functionalities, would this replace my Microwave also?

    • +2

      Nope.
This is oven. Good oven. But that's it.
