    Too many stick vacs coming on sale! What is regarded as the best one? Im moving into a double storey house in about 8-10 months and I'm unsure if i should wait or do the research and pick up the best one during these black friday sales.

      Look, you cant go wrong with the dyson v8, or any later models in fact. Only issue would be cost. This model comes with hair screw tool and anti tangle brush, which is great for those with loooooong hair/pets. The older ones used to always get hair tangled inside the spinning brush, it almost never happens now.

      One thing is that you dont have a soft fluffy attachment here, which would be useful for nice floorboards.

      The more recent ones are obviously more powerful, but they're also heavier. The laser fluffy floor cleaners are notorious for making you think you have to continually vacuum.

      If you're only looking to spend around $370, this is a good choice. Buy some gift cards to make it even cheaper.

        Agreed, get the Dyson V8, I've got the exclusive edition with all the accessories, the basic origin doesn't include enough at all - but seems the deals these days include most you'd want (except the bonus 3 or the flexihose thing).

        No brainer for $350-450, no need to spend a fortune on the fancy latest models with lasers and stuff. Just my 2c, but can't go wrong.

      The box might be long but its not very big in the other dimensions. Will probably fit in the 203cm dimension limit, but need to be taken via oversized baggage as the dimensions are a bit awkward.

        Have taken one overseas before. Best to wrap it in black plastic wrap for a bit of protection and discretion. Remove the battery and put in your carry on as they will check the battery is not inside when you check it in.

    What are the differences between the original V8, V8 Plus, and V8 Origin Plus - and how does it compare to the Xiaomi stick vacuums. We have an old Dreame V9, and want to upgrade.

      I'm also curious. I couldn't find any notable differences on the Dyson website. Although the V8 origin appears to be lighter than the V8 by a few hundred grams and very slightly shorter.

    This is a great deal, 2 extra accessories (dusting brush and fabric tool) than the "extra" at the same price, how ironic.

    Paid $414 for the Extra 3 weeks ago. Was a good deal, not so much now. :(

      See above comment by skinny, only a few attachments less/different and a purple wand, the rest the same, still in stock.

      I own this model and only find I use the Crevice tool and Combination tool personally.
      Oh and I did also get the flexible extension hose that I really like, but it wasn't included in any of these.

          I use the high power settings occasionally, say if cleaning car nooks and crannies. Btw you'd want the flexi-hose attachment.

          I've still got an old full-size vac for any bigger cleans, but almost don't need it if you got the accessories and the v8 is perfect for quick run arounds and apartments etc.
