  • I just wondering whether this extra discount from Bluetti is to make way for new AC200L that's probably be released here soon? (already being released in USA)

    • I get the feeling for most people they wont require the 1200w solar input or 2400w charging input of the AC200L. Its a good discount at this price - i recently bought at $2600 so its a good price.

  • What's the differences between this and a battery box like kickass? ( I'm an amateur 4x4 noob) 12v DC v 240v AC ?
    https://www.kickassproducts.com.au/batteries/boxes/

    • I used to have the same thoughts. Yes you can build a similar diy power station for a cheaper price tag, but it's not only the box, you'll also need the battery, inverter, fuses, cables, ac adapter …., but it will also be expandable. However the one thing you can't do is to manufacture such nice cube. So consider your needs and see which one works best for you

    • With those battery boxes you would need to hard wire the dcdc charger to charge the battery box, run wiring from your main battery and ignition wire so it only turns on when the car is running

also need to buy a lithium battery and an inverter battery especially if you want run your 240v appliances(coffee machine, induction cooker, etc)

  • This item is LiFePO₄ which will give you at least 80% usable power of not closer to 95% usable power of discharge floor at 20% or 5%.
Kickass is AGM or wetcell? so different battery chemistry and will give you about 50% usable power and a discharge floor at 50% or risk damaging the cells to reduce the life and holding charge

KA: 150Ah should equal around 1900Wh ÷ 2 which will be about 950Wh so about 75Ah total as the discharge floor is set to 50%. Not the total usable 150Ah as suggested. The AGM will most likely only be able to be charged at 10amps which will take longer to charge as to not overheat the cells.

Bluetti: 2000Wh is about 156Ah if based on 12.8v which will most likely be the same as the voltage as the AGM from KA.
Charging will be at 50amps which is quicker for solar/240v/dcdc etc charging.

Also the Bluetti has an invertor that will run appliances like a small coffee machine, pie warming etc with a peak of 4800+ watts.
KA most likely won't be able to run anything about 1000w from an invertor?? So a coffee machine will be tripping the circuit breaker, which it won't have one either?? KA doesn't have an invertor.

Bluetti: would have a charger suitable for lithium.
    KA: will need a charger.

Overall the Bluetti will charge and discharge faster, have more overall power to use, will run larger appliances from a 12v/240v invertor. Also lithium is lighter to transport. KA box will be about 25kg+ to lug around. KA will need a few extra bits to get the same functions.

KA: for me a terrible, shit branded company that packages up cheap Chinese things with a snappy name. Terrible post sales service turned me off them for good.

Bluetti: no idea on quality or company service.

I guess they are both trying to achieve the same things as a portable power source.

Hope it helps and would love others to correct this where I might have errors..
