K150 Compact Remote Area First Aid Kit - Buy One Get One Free - $97.50 Delivered (was $276) @ First Aid Kits Australia

Their previous deal for a different kit, the K410 Special was pretty popular here That kit combo is actually cheaper this time around at $104.50. Their Black Friday sale has discounts up to 70% off. Free deilvery for all orders over $55 which I guess covers most of their first aid kits. I only saw a few smaller kits in their sale that were under $55.

The combo I highlighted was mentioned in the previous deal and that looks better value for us when you take the BOGOF into consideration.

  • Wouldn't the other one be better value as it's get 2 free.
Also it looks a lot bigger

    • The other one has the main one then two smaller ones free. I don't really need the two smaller ones.

The 2 free are the K101 car kits, only valued at $22.50 each.

Going off the pictures the K150 looks bigger then the listed size of L28 x W10 x H15cm Weight 800g
I would not be happy paying $276 for such a small kit but 2 for just under $100 is pretty good.

    • Yeah, I've looked into other first aid kits and they are all pretty expensive. They probably don't sell any at full price but at this price including BOGOF I think it's worth a look. In all honesty if I don't ever use them it's probably a good thing.

  • Can't you buy these cheaper from AliExpress?

  • The premium snake kits for 10 bucks or so are a good purchase too

A fool and his money are easily parted

  • Are these actually worth it?

      Only if you need it…

There is a tax for not having to think about it and a compact package. So yes, you could assemble your own kit (which we have done in our family) but this gets it done today if you haven’t got around to it.
FWIW in 15 years of car camping we’ve seen all the injuries listed except fractures, snake bite and amputation(!).

I really wanted to just get some stuff for my arm but each piece by itself isn't that cheap and it all adds up. I went and had a look at different first aid kits and they are all really expensive. I don't think for a second that the original price is realistic but at this price including the BOGOF it seems a better option. I don't really want to have to go through some sort of checklist to make my own either. Don't think that will ever get done. Realistically I don't know if we will ever use much from this kit but it's like insurance. We pay a ridiculous amount each year for it but really hope to not really ever have to use it.

      • How much do you reckon you saved by assembling it by yourself?

        • Probably nothing, but instead of a 3ml single use sachet of burn salve, we have 75ml tube that has been used several times, and instead of 6 band aids we have a box of them.
Ours is in the cupboard and used day to day as well as when we travel, so we just restock it with normal products, not special first aid kit stuff.

My top recommendation is to get assorted non-adherent dressings, antiseptic ointment and a couple of bandages - as the type of minor injuries are generally bigger than what you get at home, and keeping them clean and sterile is more challenging away from home.
