Trade-in Your Phone and Get a Credit Refund (e.g. $300 for Pixel 6 Pro 256GB) @ Google Store

180

Looks like the Google store is finally offering trade-ins!

Stack with one of these current great black friday deals, and then trade in your old device.

Once their trade-in partner (PCS Wireless) gets your old phone and confirms the value, Google on behalf of their ade-in partner will issue the credit to your form of payment that you used for the order (or provide Google Store credit where they're unable to).

My old P6P 256GB was valued at $300.

Hope this helps someone!

That's a piss-take, you also can't even get an estimate until you sign in with a Gmail account LOL.

    Google Pixel 7 128GB.

    Google Store - $300.
    Officeworks - $330.

    Both meh

Edit: also just for reference I traded in the Google Pixel 5 128GB at Officeworks for $250 just 6 months ago.

    $350 for pixel 7 pro 256gb

    • That's not great seeing the P6P 256GB is $300

    • Same for the 128GB P7P.

    S21 $139 :(

    • Surely an s21 goes for at least double that on marketplace?

    • Amazing, A70 is $175,

  • +2

Sadly my Samsung S2 is not listed, that was the best phone ever made in the history before manufacturers started dumping super overpriced gadgets in the market to make spoiled kids feel happier.

    • +7

I mean, if the S21 is worth $129, you'll have to give them money to take an S2.

    • +1

      That was an amazing phone!

  • I think you can price match trade in on Google Store. I tried to price match my google pixel and I noticed that option came up.

    • So if you don't accept their trade-in value, you can show them a competitors trade-in value and they'll potentially match it? That's a first.

    • Pixel 1? If it's still working, keep it for unlimited photo uploads! SyncThing works to import photos from other devices too

      • I've got an og pixel, how would this work?

        • Google syncthing unlimited photo

  • Accepting LG and Huawei phones but not Oppo…

    • +1

For some reason the trade in dropdown box have Oppo not LG or Huawei

They run a business for their only own interests not for yours or ours and that is the way nowadays corporate marketing works.
I prefer to spend $400-500 for any super decent phone which has everything I want instead of giving my money to overpriced phones from Google or other brands too.

      • +1

They both don't sell phones in Australia for the last couple of years afaik, so why would they be on the list?

  • +2

    $370 for a fold 4 512GB :/

    • +1

      $192 for a fold 3 512 hahaha.

  • They will have to offer bonus raven trading in

  • No trade in for pixel 7a

  • E.g. $300 for Pixel 6 Pro 256GB

The Pixel 6 Pro is not listed so you may only buy one of their most expensive and overprice gadgets LOL

  • +2

be careful with Google credits, I had credit with them and then they banned my payment account for whatever random reason they wouldn't tell me, and I couldn't use my credit after that unless I gave them my ID/passport. So if you value your privacy, beware

  • weird they have LG mentioned on the page as accepted and when you proceed to the page where you adding the device there is no LG option in the dropdown list

  • Worst trade In offers ever as Google realized their pixel is getting better traction
