First time post - please don't bite.

For fans of cardboard induced headaches, an excellent expansion to Spirit Island. More cards, more boards, more bits. Please note: not a standalone expansion so you must have the base game. Seems to be out of stock at most local game stores as well according to The Oracle.

  Great game, would recommend getting branch and claw first if you haven't. IMO, SI isn't complete without the JE expansion

    Disagree on getting branch and claw first. Jagged earth gives you all the essential things branch and claw does (eg event deck and the tokens), but has better and more spirits. It does not however include the coolest card ever (cast down into the briney depends)

      Oh probably, but branch and claw is a good stepping stone for what to expect in JE. Also helps that it was released before JE.

        True. I found the spirits in branch and claw weren't as fun as those in JE, which had much stronger theming. The JE spirits are more complex however. On the other hand there are some pretty rubbish events in branch and claw.

        Speaking of which, I now have a very solid desire to play spirit island again thanks to this conversation.
