    This is better

    • 1597$ Aorus 3070

There are many good deals even before blackfriday, im not sure if wait or get one.

    • Maybe in build Quality and RAM it’s better but other than that this one has much better and newer specs.

Great deal if you already have discounted officeworks giftcards. Otherwise, its okay but not amazing, considering Legion Pro 5 7745HX/13700HX 4070 is at this price after elevated cashback is applied. The legions get a better panel - the Gigabyte one here does not offer HDR400 and Gsync unlike Lenovo, nor higher colour gamut like 100% p3 ones offered on Asus machines. And legion also got the beefier cpu - 13700HX (or 7745HX) is quite a bit stronger than a 13700H, despite similiarity in naming, the two chips are actually completely different with former offering more cores, cache, and unlocked for tuning through intel xtu.

    • Hmm, if the 13700HX is better then why is it's retail price less than the 13700H?

        502 vs 485 is a negigible difference.

If we really digs into the 'why', its because 13700HX are repurposed desktop dies, they share most of their manufacturing cycle the same as desktop dies unlike 13700H where intel would have to start a new production line for them, so the cut down in manufacturering costs trickles down to the pricetag intel sells to oems.

For the end consumer, esp on a gaming laptop. 13700HX is king any day of the week.

        • Makes sense. Thanks.

  • can we price match this anywhere which has good cashback? or this deal looks better with all the cashbacks https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/810563

  • Although it said 64gb ram max. will it take 96Gb ram?

  • Don't know about this 16" newer version (hardly any reviews on it except the 15 & 17) but all existing models that are display in OW are just terrible cheap plastic like LeapFrog kid toy, really can't stand using & typing on it if I am paying this much money, Lenovo even the LOQ low end model looks and feels way better, also the Asus ROG series are more up class build quality. If someone here willing to risk their cash and buy this, please give us some feedback. THX!
