I'd be interested in that as well,although it is difficult to find these.Those companies know that the cheap flights to/from the Whitsundays arrive/depart from Hamilton,and that the only way to get to the mainland is via THEIR service..therefore they pretty much charge what they like (and they do.It is not of benefit usually to fly into Hamilton cheaply,then get a t/f to Airlie,as the price ends up the same or MORE,and you have the hassle of getting back on time for your flight home if the transfers don't coincide with flight patterns…which sometimes they DON'T).
