  About 7-ish. We think this year is a great mix of smashable easy drinkers and big IPAs, with a couple of sours and a handful of dark beers for the advent-ure.

I had bought these previous years but ended up tired of the amount of breweries that say "everyone else is doing something weird and wacky, so we'll just do a basic lager". But it ends up being that multiple breweries do that so you end up getting a whole bunch of basic beers that don't justify the price. Do they not compare notes on who is doing what?

Also, i'd prefer most beers to have the Christmas theme in mind. Some just feel like the brewery's regular IPA etc, just with a different can and silly name. Some, I legitimately already had elsewhere.

  There has definately not been a brewers standard IPA in the last few canvents.
  Nor has there been multiple basic lagers in a canvent.
  Most have a Xmas theme flavour or can design as well.

  I got one last year, it was good but not great. For a summer thing, too many porters/stouts, and pretty below average beers…. I went with another company to customize to get more sours and ipa's this year.

    The point of difference for Carwyn (and Beer Cartel) is that they brew these beers specifically for these calendars.
    Any other box is just beers that have been already released or beers that have proved a bit more difficult to sell thru that make up the box.
    If you aren't already inclined to drink a few different varieties then it isn't really going to do much for you anyway.
