my bad I thought this was GMG XDDDDD

        • No worries, with so many GMG deals constantly appearing it'd be an easy mistake to make at a glance.

  • i love classic old pc games looks nostalgia feels great, theres something charming about when youre a kid and play time allowance you get each day.

    OMG SIERRA GAMES!!!!!!!

Space quest! Police Quest! King's Quest! Quest for Glory! Hell yes!

I didn't know this website existed, I just bought a fair amount of the old adventure games I used to play as a kid, for my own daughter's computer. :)

EDIT - They have a good server too, I'm maxing out my ADSL connection at 2.1 MB/sec.

    • 2.1mb? you must live next to an exchange lucky sir

  • Timeless classics at a great price. Chewed up a lot of my life playing Police Quest and Pharaoh.

    Nostalgia Level… Critical.

Dark Reign, Interstate '76, Caesar, Police Quest, SWAT… they're all here!

    • I wish they port Interstate '76 to iphone/ipad really soon :)

      waiting for carmagdon !

BETRAYAL AT KRONDOR ftw SIERRA at its peak :)
I thought PHANTASMAGORIA was banned in AU, has a great trowel to the face scene.

  • Pharaoh is one of my favourite games, this sale is great

games like these should be free now. i dont have the energy even to look at them

    • +4

Yet, you still have the energy to post that.

      • -1

        you bet man :)

    • Yet they aren't any many such games cannot be sourced at all (System Shock anybody?). Gog does a good service in making available that which would otherwise be dead and stuck in history.

    • BETRAYAL AT KRONDOR was free from SIERRA, it was a 10mb download.

  • -5

and yes they should be stuck in history

  • When it says "Compatible with… Windows 7" - would 64 bit be okay?

    • +1

Generally speaking yes you will be fine. In rare cases you need to do some extra work to get them working perfectly but GOG does an awesome job on a whole.

  • do you guys know what ya paying when you claim it should be free

the tiny price is for compatibility with current OS's and bandwidth, nearly all the games are pre patched til their final version in history.

id say its definitely worth it for that alone

  • Alone in the dark 1 , 2, 3 = Purchased :)

  • NO LEISURE SUIT LARRY. NO DEAL.

On a side note, this would really be throwing away money. All of this is retro, DRM free and readily available if you did some googling, all your paying for is a sense of owning it. - None of the monies would go to the developers from yonder-years, just the bloated Activation who owns the IP, so I don't see the point filling their pockets.

    • +2

Actually you're paying for a version that's readily compatible with most versions of Windows. When I got the commandos series on steam it took ages to get any of them working - for a couple of bucks I'm happy to not spend all that time and let someone else spend it for me.

      • +1

Yep, getting some of these old games to run can be quite a challenge but I've never had any issues at all with GOG titles. Well worth the timy amount they ask if you really want it and don't want to muck around trying to get it to work.

  • Love buying stuff from GOG, they are one of the best online game stores atm. Not only do they patch old games up to work on new systems and OS, they often add extras like soundtracks, maps etc.

    Bought and +ve.

  • Arcanum is on there. All is good with the world.
