    You can use it for emergency holding in automotive repair; If you blow a radiator hose or similar, you can wrap this around and it will self-bond, forming a fairly strong seal. Enough to get you out of trouble. Often recommended for the self-rescue kit off road.

    Ok, seems like a handy thing to have… does the colour have a bearing on the application (e.g., one colour for rubber hoses, another colour for plastic pipes, another for metal)… or is the colour just cosmetic.

  I find this very handy, especially for patching up or adding accessories to bikes.
