Places to Test Meta Quest 3 or Just Buy and Return?

Looking to buy a Meta Quest 3 but unsure if I can use it without feeling uncomfortable.

Are there any retailers which have Meta Quest 3 on display to test? I haven't seen any displays in my local retailers.

I noticed that on the Meta website they advertise extended returns until the end of January and they seem to allow unpackaged devices. Has anyone tried returning an opened set? Any pushback for the condition?

Could also consider Amazon - a 'change of mind' return will have you paying for the return shipping costs and that's it.

    • +1 to Amazon. when the Quest 2 came out I got it and tried for a bit but preferred the screen and lens on my Quest 1.

Amazon accepted the return no issues.

    • I bought one from Amazon yesterday. As Porker said, returns are more favourable than the Meta store, and normally faster delivery too. For headset only they offer 'change of mind returns until Jan 31' but not for some of the bundles that include a cable or headstrap, so check carefully. Even got a third party strap with the same thing, in case it goes back with the headset. Pretty generous.

Will Amazon accept a return if the item is opened and tested? I was under the impression that Amazon only accepts returns if it is unopened. I'm worried I'll open it and try it but hate it.

        • I believe so. I've returned things on 'change of mind' before that are opened. YMMV.

        • Early this week the policy was only remedy. They have changed it today to change of mind. I know that dont answer your question but I feel it is good to point out.

I have return under change of mind where I have open the box.

  • Just go via Amazon

  • If you purchased directly from meta, then have until Jan 31 to return everything, free return shipping aswell
