No Live Chat / Phone for eBay Black Friday Sale ?

Hello

I've just tried to get on eBay Live Chat and/or Phone support… and they have absolutely no support on offer for start of the biggest sale of the year?
It says it's only strictly business hours?

Is this what they always do, or is it just greyed out because there is currently no room in the queue (eg already serving max number of people) ?

Has anyone else experienced this in previous years ?

And is it the same for Xmas, Boxing Day and NY Eve / Day and other big sale dates (eg some being public holidays) ?

NOTE - please don't ask what my ebay query was; as it's not relevant to the thread… it's about the availability of the support options ok

    I assumed eBay had no support on offer all the time, why would the increased promo make any difference?

    Well, just because the sale starts @ midnight, it doesn't mean there are "live" person working. Do you expect you can chat with JB Hifi, Good Guys Support, Harvey Norman support at 3 AM in the morning?

    I remembered eBay lists its chat hours on their website if they were closed. Currently, it is OPEN and says 1 min waiting time. :)

    You wanted support at 4am and are surprised you didn't get it?

    It's ebay, you buy the item for the price it's listed at. It doesn't get much more simple than that.

    Seems to be a recurring thing for the OP. Maybe they want to know how 'old' the Black Friday phones are.

    Appears to be a new trend. Companies try to get you to go through their app as well where you must login.
