    Is there any better alternative for a portable speaker with google assist? Or would you have to spend hundreds more for anything much better sound wise? I don't have any other Sonos gear. Would this sound as good or better than a Harman Kardon Citation 200 for example?

    For this price, you can't go past Sonos Roam. In fact the roam is a good buy under $200 (whenever on discount). Have have using one and its fantastic for its size!

    You can Airplay or use the Sonos app to play music.

    230pm AEST - JB rejected the price match quoting out of stock at HN. After some initial inadvertent returns to the HN waitlist, i could proceed to the cart (Black version) and it showed out of stock. I hit refresh and the message was longer there and i could successfully place an order. Hopefully they fulfil the order!

    wohooo…finally managed to snag one (for delivery extra $10 but its worth it) after trying for 6 hours on HN site and getting rejected by all JB staff at multiple stores and online chat.

    I got the confirmation email after 30 minutes or so.

    Maybe this might help someone. Went into Jbhifi Knox (VIC) and asked for price match showing the Harvey Norman and the store person looked for stock and couldn’t find any. He then tried searching up himself on store computer and they had no internet either lol.

    He then just approved a price match for $99 based off my phone, and ordered it for me to pick up another time when they ship it in.

    Also had a look at the SOH on their devices, for the black one, all stores have 1 left (display model) except for some regional ones and JB Melbourne Central supposedly has 7 SOH of the black one. So if anyone is near there, could be worth calling up or going in person.

    For people that are going to price match be careful they don't give you the Sonos Roam SL. You want the Sonos Roam Portable Smart Speaker.
    The difference it's that the SL doesn't have microphone (can't use Google Assistant,Alexa). So make sure to get the right one.

      This happened to me but they gave me a $20 discount cos they didn’t have the normal ones left, so $79 for the SL.
      I’m totally fine with it. I don’t intend on using the microphone.

    Was testing it out last night. Very good speaker for $99! Definitely wouldn’t pay MSRP for it (it’s just not the OzBargain way to do so).

    It’ll be nice to use it for music on the outside dining table during the summer.

    EDIT: For those who are have issues updating the software on it, make sure you have it plugged in and charging when attempting to do the update.

    I have placed a ClickCollect order at HN Rundle mall SA, got a call from them tell me they have diverted my order to be collected at HN Marion as they ran out of stock and there were supposedly 10 units left in Marion. I came to the Marion store and was told they know nothing about my order, they have a long list of order for these speakers which they will proceed to cancel since they don’t have left in stock.

      I doubt they’ll sound better than decent sized speakers. It’s a mono speaker that “sounds good for it’s size”, doesn’t mean it matches larger speakers

      Reached out to Domayne live chat this morning and got told the order was delayed. They asked the fulfilling store to provide an update and I just received the below

      "We received an update from the store regarding your order of the Sonos Roam Portable Smart Speaker - Shadow Black. According to them, the supplier has advised that the item is currently out of stock with no estimated arrival time. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with tracking information."

      Reckon there's a high probability the order gets cancelled but you never know.

        I tried them yesterday and the fulfilling store said:
