    Would two of these be a good way to get started with Pokemon TCG with my daughter? I played the original in ~'96 but haven't played since.

      I think the 151 trainer box is a good starting point. Especially at these discounted prices you get a price per booster pack below the booster bundles which are out of stock everywhere.
      This will give you some tokens, energy cards, deck box, and a bunch of cards for two players.
      Plus this set gives you that nostalgia hit.

      Be careful. This is the first set I've purchased since the original back in the 90's, and I'm now attempting to complete a master set of 151. Bit of a money pit if you aren't careful.

      yeah, these are a great set to start off with. Only thing is you're a little late to the party. it'll be hard to find stock that is cheap. You will find stock but inflated AF.
      Otherwise great set and cool arts!

        2 x 6 pack booster bundles for $80. I wouldn't say it's thaaat cheap.

        I guess this set is a bit more expensive.

      In terms of collecting, 2x boxes works out to $6.50 a pack (9 packs in each box). And as a set, includes all original 151 pokemon.

      In terms of actually playing the game, you'd probably want this

    The booster bundles are also available from Amazon UK. Seems like an insane wait time, but at $40 each for 2, it's not too bad considering how hard they are to come by ATM.

      I canned my order for bundles. I ordered a few 4-6 weeks ago which had an ETA for yesterday. It was just pushed out again to late Jan. At least the ETB's seem readily available.
