  • Haven't tried this before. How does it compare to other freeze-dried brands - K9 Natural, WOOF Freeze Dried?

We currently feed our dogs fresh raw and use freeze-dried for camping & road trips.

Hi there. The differerence between Frontier Pets and the others is that our produce and production is 100% Australia. We also use only free-range (for whole of life) proteins and certified organic produce. We also use free-range eggs. Our mission is to produce an extraordinary product, while also supporting Aussie farmers practicing sustainable agriculture. We have so far contributed nearly $8 million toward ethical farming and our customers have served their pets over 7 million meals. It is an extradonary food. I do hope that this helps. Di Scott, Founder, Frontier Pets.

      • Thank you, Di. I appreciate your response.

Are there plans to extend the range? Unfortunately both my dogs cannot tolerate chicken or pork, which limits us to just the beef. We like to rotate their proteins.

Good morning. Yes, we are working on a lamb/fish variety now. It should be out by February. We'll keep people informed via the socials.

          Di.

Hi, I have spoken with the founder of Frontier Pets (Di Scott) and asked her to sign in to OzBargain and respond to your query. She should get back to you in a couple of hours

  • What is the shelf life / best before of these? Would I be able to buy a large bag and slowly use it over 6 months?

    • Hi there. We have a best before date of 2 years. So if the bag is unopened we'll honour that 2 years date. If you do open the bag though, we advise you to use within 2 months as the product can start absorbing moisture out of the air. It will likely be fine but we can't guarantee it. I would recommend that you get several smaller bags (see you 900 gram x 3 varieties option, or our 2.5 kilo x 3 varieties option) and then you're only opening smaller bags each time, but getting the value of the disount. I do hope that this makes sense. Then pup or cat gets new proteins all time time too - which gives them variety. Cheers, Di.

My doggo has been eating frontier pets the chicken one for over 4 years. It’s great stuff. Keeps him nice and trim and in magnificent condition.

He loves the chicken necks also.

    • Well thank you! It is extraordinary food. And the chicken necks - well - both dogs and cats will walk across water for them. Di.
