Olight has had a few cosmetic issues with the Marauder Mini Golden Black Stone-Washed. Full story here

Since Marauder Mini Golden Black used the stone-washed manufacturing process, the appearance of each one is different. Notably, the circuit surface design at the heads can vary widely, please see the pictures for details.

To compensate they have reduced the price of the Marauder Mini to $172.98. If you have bought it already there are a few options for you. Full details in the link above. With cashback at cashrewards sitting at 13% you are looking at around $153 for this torch which has a RRP $345.95. I believe you should get free postage as it is over the $75 mark but you may need to be a copper member already to qualify for that? If someone else can confirm that would be great.

  • Large Battery Capacity: Customized 24Wh 32650 rechargeable lithium battery ensures extended runtime. Now compatible with Olight’s MCC3 magnetic charging cable.

  • Uniformly Distributed RGB Colour LEDs: Three RGB color LEDs are uniformly distributed around the converging lens, making it suitable for use during any occasion.

  • Dual-beam with Spot and Flood: An array of LEDs offers two powerful beam choices: a 600-meter max throw from the central LED’s spotlight beam, or a 7,000-lumen max output floodlight beam from the 9 surrounding LEDs.

  • Safest in its Class: A built-in thermal sensor and cooling fins to ensure safety in case of overheating and lens obstruction.

  • It will come with a hard case.

      Dont waste your time..

Im 12 spins in ans have nothing.

  • +2

Be aware that it's only 7000 lumens for a minute or 2 before dropping to half that and then after a few minutes it drops down to 1600 lumens which it can then sustain for hours.

  • Thanks for the mad tip on this deal!!

  • Picked a few things up from Olight during this sale and have had one of their warrior mini 2's for a couple of years. Can confirm their gear is solid.

The Marauder mini might be overkill for most people

    • +4

Overkill you say? Perfect, just ordered one!

  • Anyone know of there is any difference between Olight Marauder Mini Golden Black Stone-washed and just something like the blue Marauder? Comes up about the same price with BF sales?

    • +1

This comes with a case. The other ones do not.

  • +2

I'm not a big fan of proprietary chargers and batteries, but i have to admit this is an awesome flashlight. I have much more powerful and expensive flashlights like the Acebeam X50, but always grab the Marauder mini. The flood/throw switch and UI make it a fantastic general use flashlight. Do recommend.

    • You may have convinced me to get one.

    • So the rotary dial is also the power on/off toggle switch?

Does it remember the last brightness level, and is there any way to change the functions of buttons?

I see it locks out after 10 seconds… so does that mean to power the torch on again, you first rotate the dial, then press? That's quite unusual… I'm trying to decide if it would bother me.

      • +2

        Rotary dial is the on/off.

It remembers last brightness setting, or last torch setting even.
The LED below the rotary is even coloured to tell you which mode it's in.

It locks after ten seconds of non use. To unlock you need to turn it ninety degrees again. Good feature considering the herbs in this torch will cook a hole in your pants quicker than you can say what's that smell.

I have one of the ugly ducklings from this batch. I'm unsure if I'll return it yet. I do have a Marauder Mini already though - if I didn't, I would keep this one. It's a ridiculous amount of torch for the money:
        Spotlight
        Floodlight
        Green light
        Red light
        Blue light
        Strobe
        Variable brightness for all.
UI with remaining battery and current brightness compared to limits.
        Haptic feedback.
And it's just insanely bright at max. Yes there are limits to duration at max, but of course there are - it's a handheld torch. If you carry a torch for work, it's small enough to carry. It's not an EDC though.

        • Sounds good. Remaining battery indicator looks more detailed than other torches. My LedLenser torch has only 3 indicator steps, fully charged, 50% and 15%. This is bad because 20% remaining power looks the same as 50%.

          • @cerealJay: That's not good. Hate the soon to be flat blinking.
Ledlenser make some good reliable torches but I think olight have pushed for innovation in their models and it's paid off IMHO. More features, aesthetics, UI, and charging options have resulted.

  • It's also only about $20 more for the other colours (which don't come with the case though, if that's something you'll use).

  • My only issue with olight is they don't seem to let us choose bin colour? Would much prefer neutral to warm white for colour rendition

    Is this cool white?

    • Some of the other torches in their product range have that option.

  • it says unavailable privilege :(

    • Try logging in. The page said the same for me until I logged in. Could then add to cart.

    • +1

I did see that. I guess maybe they think people won't get them for any other reason that if you have a Marauder mini. You get one with the torch I think as well too.

      • Noice. pop

I haven't bought a torch in a while.. Addiction didn't last long but I have 8 or so. And many little Nightcore and Gober pieces.

Wondering if I should fork out for another.. πŸ˜… Any idea when the sale ends?

        • Banner says available until 12:59PM 29/11 AEDT,. Wednesday?

          • @ozbs25: Thanks for that.

Banner appearing for me for the holster but not the torch page..

Fingers crossed, may grab one last minute! 😁

            • +1

@WasBargain: Yeah, the torch may be separate from the BF sale as it's less of a sale, more of a way to salvage something from this failed attempt at stone-washing. Hopefully mine isn't awful but without this offer I don't think I would have gotten a torch like this. Bit overkill for taking the bin to the curb. πŸ˜„

              • @ozbs25: Yeah, good point. They have really good live chat if I remember correctly so I'll try and find out. πŸ˜…

Haha, that's close to the most use I've ever gotten out of my torch.. I used to point my Convoy C8+ or Manker MC13 in the sky to let delivery people know at night where I am.. πŸ˜…

BTW: On AliExpress, they have $24 off over $120 spend bringing down the Lumintop Thor2, shortform with battery for like $146 at checkout. I've always wanted one of these. But because you save more with OP's, I'll probably end up getting that one..

Wondering if using $15 coupon won on wheel will void cashback.

    • Yeah, I'm wondering that too. I used one the other day and it tracked with it but they may end up rejecting it. I didn't use it for this transaction. I'll see what happens in a few months.
