Logitech G435 Lightspeed Wireless and Bluetooth Gaming Headset for PC $60 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ EB Games eBay

130
BFDEAL

you can pay $8.95 extra for delivery, but only C&C makes this better than all time previous low of $58.50 + delivery (no C&C @ Catch right?). https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/765523
white and blue colour is also the same $60 price here, compared to an extra $6 for the Blue+Pink colour in the Catch deal I linked.

this comes with 2.4Ghz USB dongle in the box for low latency PC audio. the recently posted Vibe 100 doesn't have the ability to connect to dongle so you have to rely on bluetooth on that model.
just incase you might miss it, this G435 does not have a boom mic. mic is just a hole on one earcup. OH and NO aux port on this headset. be aware. but majority of bluetooth headphones sound terrible with 3.5mm anyway so it's not really a loss in my opinion.

also Logitech claims 18 hours battery life, Rtings tested Continuous Battery Life at 19.8 hrs. 👍 <——— this is most likely without microphone chat use

    • ok sure, I thought it would be at least slightly better than the Vibe 100 which was recently posted for $87. and linked video there says the mic is quite decent (which you usually never hear for bluetooth mic devices). https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/814268

reasons for thinking G435 would be even better are proprietary 2.4Ghz dongle for higher bandwidth and I just assumed the G435 being a higher model than Vibe 100 that Logitech did some smarts (noise cancelling mic?) to make it decent and not need a boom arm.

      • Bought a few of these for meetings, it's more than a good enough mic for that. Not incredible quality or anything but pretty good.

yeah I mean not sure what the standards are for the average person. but to me if your voice is clear enough to be understood and you at least sound a bit like "you" then it passes. I dunno maybe gaming headset user standards are pretty high and you can easily get wrecked for having a mic that's not good enough.

  • some feedback on the design. (bunch of logitech's all look like this)

based on the picture you might think the headband is thin and lacks padding but don't worry, the entire headset is so lightweight you barely feel it on your head. they hold themselves up mostly with the clamp pressure and earpads the headband isn't even really necessary it's just there to hold the headphones together lol.

I usually don't like to see exposed wires but in this case it's quite well done, they go down in the center and are protected from the outside where the cup meets the widened headband.

overall the design feels plasticky and cheap, but it's all for good reason. they are extremely lightweight. all models are within a few grams of each other but the G435 weighs only 165grams. this lightweight makes it the most comfortable thing I have ever used. you know you are wearing it because of the earpads but the weight is just not there, they feel like they weigh nothing.

  • Picked up the last black one, thanks.

  • I got these for my kids, has a built in limit and basic mic for here or there. robust and wont break easily.around this price is good value IMO. has lightspeed adapter so no pairing needed but can be paired with bluetooth for ipads etc. can be charged and used at the same time via usbc

    • "can be charged and used at the same time via usbc"

nice I didn't know that. pretty sure "charge while use" is usually a premium feature. I know there are a lot of bluetooth headphones out there that can't do this. my Beoplay Portal can, but I feel like I paid extra for it compared to other BT headphones so I expected it.

      • yes, very annoted at my sony xm4

        • sorry I was going to edit my comment above this afternoon but forgot to. thank you for reminding me.

by "charge while use" I mean charge via USB-C with audio from bluetooth/wireless.

just wanted to say that because some people might think "charge while use" means charge AND audio from USB-C cable.

  • They have decent battery life and sound quality, but the microphone is pathetic. Like $2 pathetic. Don't get them.

    • "Like $2 pathetic."

whoa really that bad? with the included USB dongle?

also if you were using the USB dongle, did you update the firmware and software to the latest? I read a lot of Logitech bugs exist at launch but are fixed with updates.

      • Omg, my mistake! I have the G733 lightspeed rgb. They are basically unusable, and I think it's either due to a bad mic in the physical sense comboed with low transmission bandwidth maybe?

Anyway maybe these ones have a better mic- the youtube samples certainly seem better than my g733.

        • G733 Lightspeed on Logitech's AU website is $100 more than the G435 Lightspeed. but I think it's an older model because of the design.
going by price I would expect better performance on the G733. G733 also has a proper boom mic design, compared to G435's boomless mic.

I just looked up release dates. hmm not by much though G733 released Jan 2021, G435 released Sept 2021.

  • to the user that reported expired/out of stock.

    there's 1 left of the white+blue colour.

if you are willing to pay an extra $5 there is 5 left of the weird blue pink colour I linked to in comments.

  • black back in stock but $79 now. it's over.
