not worth it imo, unless your playing offline.
this is what you buy to see if you would like racing games. Within minutes you will quickly realise just how competitive sim racing is, how high the skill ceiling is and just how handicapped you are with budget gear like this.If your unsure you will enjoy the sport, you are much better off getting one of the thousands of second hand listings on marketplace for half the price of this, and if/when your ready to get serious and decide your ready to invest many, many, many hours to improving your skills so you can at least hang mid pack, then I recommend you save yourself time and money and go straight to a 8nm or better Direct Dive wheel and loadcell pedals.
100% agree..this is not fit for any proper racing. I got one for $80 on marketplace and had to put it away after a few minutes
yeah I learnt the hard way too. going from this to a Moza R9 and loadcell setup, I was immediately putting down more consistent lap times, and ultimately faster overall.
On the g920, my lap time on Mt panorama was anywhere between 2:06- 2:12, constantly locking up brakes, oversteering, crashing etc.
within a day on the Moza setup, im consistently getting 2:03, and improving every lap, with far fewer crashes
Which ones would you recommend?
if your ready to invest serious time as a budget entry point?
for consoles & PC, Fanatec 8nm DD and CSL v2 loadcell pedal kit
for PC only, Moza R9 and any loadcell pedal kit, a great pedal set is simsonn loadcell on Ali express
or you buy it, love it, but dont play that much and then think where the hell am i gonna store this thing
The used ones on market place were $300-$350 in my area. So buying new was a no brainer at this price.
I wanna be the #profanity# who says this can be had for much cheaper on FBMP.
I got one that was practically brand new for about 220 with the gearshift.
Used it a lot for a month. Got busy with life and haven't taken it out of the closet since. The setting it up part is what broke it for me. I usually get around 1-2 hours of free time a day. I really hate the fact that 15-20 minutes would be used to setting up and packing up.If you've got heaps of space and a racing stand, then maybe. But at that point you would be going after a lot higher quality gear.
I don't G920 is compatible with PS4 and PS5
They had a G29 option for the same amount which is the PS compatible hardware.
Any opportunity to use this on games running on AppleTV or iOS?
