  • Bought one for son's switch 2.
    Hopefully it's good.

Not sure why I thought it's a pair.
Can't cancel anymore, will have to return when it arrives…

      • Try calling them up and cancelling?

And yes I agree with you - the image is misleading (showing two controllers)

        • +6

Well it's the front and the bavk

    • it this 100% supported on steam deck? i know some of these controller won;t support vibrate on a steam deck.

Has pretty bad input lag, would recommend the gulikit es pro, sport, elves 2 (not pro) or the upcoming tt pro/max set to release end of October.

  • I guess with such an expensive RRP price, will be better than Gamesir or 8bitdo???

      Oh sweet summer child…

Don't worry, just saw this thing pretty bad reviews on amazon 2.9 stars only …

  • +1

    Review seems not worth 69

  • +1

With input lag that bad im more tempted by the $25 kmart one.

    • Yeah, that RRP $139 is just ridiculous ripoff & a joke !!! Bet lots of other $30 ones perform way better than this one

On a scale of "here's your controller bro" to 8BitDo, where does this fall?

I've just taken to plunge to start playing controller games on my PC rather than PS4. Can anyone recommend a good controller for me to start with?

(Sorry to use this thread - I just figure it's topical)

ps4 controller could work on ur PC.

Xbox controller (current one that works with the Series or One, not the 360) is best.

PS5 is OK if you prefer that shape, or want to play Sony ports that use the special triggers (in some games, the on-screen tutorial buttons will still be the xbox ones, but you get used to it quicker than you might think).

PS4 controllers also work, try that first since you already have one.

Some people say the 8bitdo one is OK too.

You will also face a compatibility fight with the ps5 controller in some games. The PS5 controller support in Windows does not compare with the superior XBOX controller support.

I'm basing this on my experiences having used both. The Xbox controller is a lot more plug and play

installing ds4windows can emulate PS5 controllers as XInput

          • +2

@meong: Correct and I was using that. There were still compatibility issues and some users will find ds4windows intimidating imo.

            • +1

@hetzjagd: I believe steam also has inbuilt controller support and profiles for ps4/5 controllers built in, but using ds4win at the same time might cause an issue. But xbox / others generally will be less hassle overall yes.

              • +1

@Astrom: Also correct but a lot of gamers will still need ds4windows for non-steam games like Fortnite, Genshin Impact, Valorant and some others on Epic Games. Also for emulators, which are a popular choice to pair with a game controller.

Problem with the Xbox controller is that it doesn't use a rechargeable battery, unless you want to pay extra for a mod pack.

Not sure why MS would make such a stupid choice, as the controller itself is good.

I find myself just going back to 8bitdo and usually just recommend them due to wide availability, frequent sales, different designs (which usually tries to emulate older controllers) and easier to get replacement parts. In saying that, I haven't really required any replacement. This is after owning Xbox, Ps4/Ps5, Gulikit King Kong controllers.

For starters, I would choose 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller. Not super expensive, can be Bluetooth/2.4Ghz Wireless and comes in many colors and follows Xbox controller feel for familiarity.

Planning to get this next time as I like the idea of swapping out Switch/Xbox Layouts:Pro3
      From 8bitdo, I have the following: SN30 Pro, Pro 2, Ultimate, 2C.

If you have a PS4 controller, use that. It's my favourite controller ever. The Switch ones are quite alright as well. Minus the misarranged ABXY buttons.

Steam auto maps the buttons. Epic as well. Oddly, Fortnite can be touch and go with the PS4 controller, but Rocket League works flawlessly.

If you want total compatibility, get an Xbox Series X controller with a charging kit. You find a few on FB Marketplace.

8bitDo or Xbox controller. I personally have the Xbox controller.

  • I thought gulikit was the de facto alternative to 8bitdo at a cheaper price, how did this end up being a worse product?

    • im confused too… i seem to be enjoying my Gulikit KK3 Pro more than my 8BitDo Ultimate 2.4Ghz

  • +4

What's funny is that gulikit make great thumbstick replacements kits for other controllers but can't make a good controller themselves.

  • Wow, I am using this controller ever since my Xbox shoulder button collapsed (no bounce back)
nice to see this controller landed at BigW

    love the Hall effect sticks

Garbage controller, mine lasted me a week then the triggers became faulty.

Spend a little more for 8bitdo ultimate 2
