Hi, looking for a decent media player with HDMI. Doesn't need wifi as I prefer to plug an external drive in the mediaplayer and hook it up via HDMI to my TV. I don't want to do wifi as I wont be playing directly of my internal drive.
Any suggestions? Im on a very very strict budget as Ozbargain deals have made me spent too much already in the last week :o)
I would second that, its a very good combination plus you can use the raspberry pi as a web browser, web server - the list is endless.
You might come across the Astone 310DT because it's cheap and spec looks good on paper, but I do NOT recommend it. Too many problems with it freezing up.
If you can find someone selling them in Oz - http://www.trustedreviews.com/sumvision-cyclone-micro-3_TV-r… - could be under different names.
If you don't mind a little DIY - Raspberry Pi + Openelec @~$35 :)
