I am looking for perfumes as Christmas gifts for my family and friends. Please recommend inexpensive and good value for money.

are we talking $29.99 silver scent
are we talking $59.99 armaf CDN

Perfume is a terrible gift unless you're buying it for an 18 year old male or chronically online shut-in. Most other people will have their own preferences and usually cheap isn't one of them.

    • Any other options I can try?

      • Depends on their age, gender, hobbies, etc, etc. If you were buying for me a good gift would be some vintage knick knack, something I couldn't just go online and order myself because anything I want that is within the reasonable price range for a gift I've already bought which I think is the same for most people. Last year I went a got a photo of my grandmother professionally restored and gave framed copies to my direct family which was an easy way to sort all their gifts out. You need to find something they couldn't just go and buy themselves, failing that give them money or gift card.

        whats your budget?

i seriously considered buying like 6-8 Addiesdive MY-H3-2QZ 40mm Quartz Dive Watch to just have on hand for last min gifts to long time male friends.

40mm, even people with <7 inch wrist can wear it decently
looks way more expensive than its actual cost
comes in a nice display box
even some high end watch snobs can appreciate it
        can be easily re-gifted
bit more interesting than picking up some random grog on sale for $50 like i normally do anyway
not available randomly from local stores, so it looks like u actual gave present giving a thought :)

How do I get on your gift list this Christmas?

LOL I love that you managed to give this watch a plug in here!

unless you're buying it for an 18 year old male

That's pretty outdated lol. In my experience, most Gen Z 18 year old guys know their stuff about colognes, better than the guys in their late 20s who grew up with Lynx. Dior Sauvage is almost a staple amongst them.

      • Uh I don't think it is. It's just natural when you're at an age where you're just starting to actually buy your own things with your own money. I don't think your experience is indicative of the majority. Also hate to break it to you but if you're buying Sauvage you actually don't know your stuff about colognes.

You're not breaking it to me haha, I work with first year uni students so I've just noticed the shift from Lynx to Sauvage over the years and that's still progress lol -

I help them get organized to start uni and that involves talking about their routines and interests and recently there's more general interest amongst guys with colognes, candles, skincare, etc. that guys from 5 years ago were never into, well at least the ones I worked with 🤷‍♂️.

Just so you know, all those crap perfume and deodorant packs get donated immediately after xmas. Biggest waste of money. Give the gift of cash.

    • Was thinking on the gift cards, but some of them are in overseas, and not worth all the extra fees needs to be paid

Cant post perfumes either 🤷‍♀️ is there something local you can buy online and have posted to them?

If they're overseas, a selection of Australian snacks and chocolates?

Seriously.. giving cheap perfume is worse than not giving anything!

    • i guess to be fair op just said 'inexpensive' i like to give beneift of the doubt and assume they meant like $50-80, rather than $10-20

'OzBargain' and 'inexpensive' together can really only mean one thing… 😂

Check with your friends first, some people are quite superstitious about receiving perfumes as gifts.

    Otherwise these are classic favourites:
    - armani acqua di gio
    - dafidoff cool water
    - issey miyake l’eau d’issey
    - paris hilton (I know but it’s actually quite good)
    - britney spears curious
    - kenzo flower

Anything by Bvlgari and Hermes is usually good but they’re on the pricier side, unless you get the miniatures or something.

If you want something cheaper, Zara perfumes are usually quite cheap and still pretty good.
