        No, they arent. They are near the best. They are the best for the price by far. The samsungs still beat them in every respect. But you pay for it.

      Its turbo mode has much higher CADR than the xiaomis. Not sure about samsungs.

    Only thing i dislike about this is the carbon filter which uses embedded carbon fibers instead of carbon pellets.

    Paid $430 just before xmas last year, and at the time, that was a bargain. At this price, I'll grab another for the lounge room! It does a good job, but …

    A few niggly things, and would-like-to-haves:

    In night mode, it's way to bright if you don't turn off the colour strip and plasmawave. It doesn't remember what settings it was on before turning it off. And there is no remote.

    For a device that had a RRP of $800, these type of things are pretty poor. The new one will be in the lounge, so won't have the same issues.

    How does this compare to Xiaomi 3H? Filter replacement costs/frequency/support? I have two 3H, one in bedroom, one moved around as needed. Filter prices have gone up so been wondering about whether to replace whole unit or keep spending $$ on filters. Not sure on knock-off filters as HEPA is important to me.

        To be fair you must be pretty strong because the Winix 5 stage is 8.5kg and the Xiaomi 3H is 4.8kg.
