Considering placing an order for $1.95 chip dip to make my account eligible for the $15 birthday voucher (next month for me).

      • +9

now, this is the ultimate hack

      • Good idea, do you only need to order once that year to be eligible?

        • +1

one (1) AUD$15.00 Nando’s voucher (Birthday Voucher) during the month of their birthday, where the Member has transacted within 6 months prior to the start of their birthday month, verified their Account and entered their date of birth within their Member profile in the Account (Eligible Members). Eligible Members will be sent an email with a barcode for the Birthday Voucher on the 1st day of their birthday month (e.g. if an Eligible Member’s birthday is the 6th or the 29th of September they will be sent the email with the Birthday Voucher on the 1st of September and will have 30 days to redeem the Birthday Voucher). The barcode will be valid for 30 days from the date the email is sent and cannot be redeemed outside of this period, regardless of any circumstances beyond the Eligible Member's control (including public holidays or restaurant closures)

      • I have a free reg side with mains offer, still considering whether getting the quarter chicken ($9.95 post inflation) with free peri chips is worth it, with the $15 voucher in Jan if I do. The quarter chicken (cheapest main) used to be $6.95!

Just wondering is there a price difference between pick up and eating in store compared to delivery?

A lot of these company increase the price of food if you order delivery.

Havent checked this time but yes delivery is usually more expensive on the Nandos app compared to Pickup on the app (pickup on the app is the same as dining in store AFAIK). Delivery is usually only $5 so they make up for it by charging higher item prices.

Whole chicken as example, ONE dollar more for delivery instead of pickup.

I hate such dark patterns. Increase prices for delivery, PLUS charge a delivery fee.

That should be illegal, similar to ACCC price displays regulations. All costs should be factored into one total delivery fee for transparency.

I did send a complaint in about this to the ACCC last month for Subway when they were offering "Free Delivery" but you change the order to delivery and every item goes up in price. I'd suggest you do the same as you only need a few complaints for them to start taking these things seriously.

          • @sevendollarsfifty: Thanks, will do. I'm afraid they will simply switch to offering separate coupon codes for delivery and pickup (similar to what Domino's does), but even that practice is more honest.

        • Many items are $1 more, so it actually discourages purchasing multiple items (although I suspect they are just counting on people not checking)

    • Yes small difference, see here.

    lunch sorted thanks bg!

deliveries inconsistent - half the time the chips are cold and soggy by the time it gets to you

      Move closer

    • Nandos in general is inconsistent, some stores its real nice other stores its nasty.

  • Both nando's near work and home closed sadly.

  • Nandos are sneaky pricks…just went to test this out.

Noticed the classic pita is $1 more expensive when ordering via delivery versus pickup.

$0 delivery fee does NOT mean free delivery!

They are really taking the piss lately with inflation too.

    • They use DoorDash so it seems that they are passing on the costs/fees involved straight to the customer, and the delivery costs are passed on as delivery charges.

At least the mark up is not extortionately high like UberEats

  • The chickens are burned at Nandos, cancer risk

    • Every chicken is burnt at every Nando’s?

  • I have Nando’s once in a blue moon, generally just order the classic or whatever it’s called. Is there anything worth ordering in terms of being really good while also getting your money’s worth or is the entire menu as overpriced as it seems.

    • A whole chicken + 2 sides is pretty good and reasonably priced at $33.50 (pickup, not sure delivery price), would feed 2 adults + a kid at a minimum.
