I personally wouldn't recommend these. I got them from the last deal and the slightest pressure on the first use had the heads slide way too far into the shaft to the point of unusuable. After that none of the bits would sit in them

      Forever young

    • I bought a Xiaomi one and used it for a few times. No problems like yours with it.
This one looks almost identical but much cheaper (I bought mine for ~$30). So I think their quality is totally different

      • I got a Atuman (Xiaomi sub brand) electric one for around 30 bucks. It’s very good and feels premium, is pretty strong and usb charge, lasts very long aswell

These have some really poor reviews

  • Off-topic a bit… I am looking to find some longer length bits for this size of screwdriver. Does anyone know of a good set where they can be used to access more recessed screws? Thanks!

    • Your best bet for cheaper ones is probably aliexpress, i’ve seen a couple on there

As per the reviews (and personal experience with similar) they advertise the metal version with magnetic bit holders, but what you get is a garbage quality plastic version with plastic clips for the bits.

You can see this in one of the review photos.

    • for $6 asking a bit much! haha
i had pull my laptop apart.. considering next day deliver and paid full price was rather pleased - did job.
but yea solid certainly what i wouldnt describe it.

It's a bait and switch scam. They rely on people being too lazy to complain or return it, because of the low price.

I bought this set, these are not the same as the Xiaomi Screwdriver Kit. The case is plastic and the metal feels way softer than Xiaomi. Dont waste your money.

  • Looking to get a set of precision screwdriver. Any othee recommendations if this one is not so good?

    • +1

I thought the Xiaomi one was good.

      • Xiaomi one is good but it's expensive in comparison to these.

      • which one to go for? the normal one or the one with the power driver?

        • +1

I bought the manual one with no battery. I didn't use it very often so it's good enough, given that electric one will need charging and battery will become low over time, and cost more. If you use it everyday then you can buy the electric one.

          • @goliath: thanks mate for your feedback.

          • +1

@goliath: I have both manual and battery but most of the time use the manual one, battery one not quite powerful enough.

    • I recommend these which are $20 at the moment (not sure if EBPlus is needed for discount): https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/113987372202

Tested them against a bunch of much more expensive Wiha, Wera and PB Swiss I have and they held their own, even outdid the Wiha in terms of precision.

  • Yeah the quality of the bits on these cheaper sets (of which there are many) is terrible.

Usually see complaints about them being pretty soft, or the quality control being so bad that the bits are warped badly out of the box.

  • Trojan 26 Piece Precision Screwdriver Set from Bunnings is very good.
