Bro no more knife deals from you .. we might have to send ozb police to check on you… And on top of that the knives are all mediocre :(

      • Nahhh there's nothing that great . Outside of the incredible global deal set everything has been average.
The wusthof I linked earlier is ok, 17cm santoku classic ikon creme for $159
        It's just nothing amazing

Here for the always educational comments from the Global Knives gang.

  • Limited-time deal: Wüsthof WU CLASS SUMAC CHEFS 16CM https://amzn.asia/d/3ZLQPtq

Here this one is worth it super first knife with the obvious perk of free professional sharpening for all wusthof

Limited-time deal: Wüsthof WU CLASSIC WHITE SANTOKU 17CM https://amzn.asia/d/gC3G7az
Another super option (probably better if you only want one knife)

You're targeting a vastly different market with those compared to the sort of person interested in the deal.

It's a perfect lifetime knife.. I don't think I am. You might have to change those knifes above in 5 years or so once the get dull edges.
The wusthof literally has professionals looking after your knife everytime it gets blunt for free. Obviously would recommend a good home sharpener, but you really can have these taken care of for you for the rest of your life.
That's why most will always recommend to invest in a few good knives. And for most people at home wusthof makes the most sense with their free professional care.
The Japanese knives are good but you really need to look after it well or pay for professionals

        • Whilst I personally agree with your point of view, and recently bought a Shun Santoku while in Japan, not everyone has the money available to spend big now to ideally save them money going forwards. Sometimes you just need the best cheap knife to keep you going, which the above deal might satisfy (I don't personally know about the KitchenAid knives).

          • @Rail Rider95: Hey buddy I see what you're saying too. But for most people the cheaper Wiltshire knives from woolies etc are likely to be similar quality. It's almost like a false sense of going up in quality when they are likely to be similar.

            • @maverickjohn: That's fair enough, and probably a more relevant argument against this deal in my opinion.

Can't agree with you. If you are light user, any knife will do the job. Get a sharpening steel. Two hones will do the job.

If you are going to deal with bones, shells and frozen food, wusthof won't last long too.

You need one "cheap" knife in your kitchen.

          • @Diddz: You actually raise a really good point there. Outside of buying a cleaver, you would be ruining some really good knives with the above dealjngs
