What's this looks for a golden retriever that sheds every day?

    • +2

I have a much older and cheaper robovac and its a godsend for keeping up with dog hair. Need to clean the roller fairly often to avoid tangles but its still easier than hitting it manually 3x a week

      • +1

I hope you don't mean hitting the dog 3x a week

        • +7

Of course not, he's naughty way more often than that.

          THIS IS ABSOLUTELY SARCASM

    • +4

My Deebot auto-empty station is basically useless if there is any item in the canister that resembles hair. Holes are too small to reliably suck all the particles out. Thats what she said etc.

    • +1

i would also like to know. double coated german shepherd in my house. the vacuum… she suffers.

    • +1

Bluey owner here. Works brilliantly to clear all the fur. Had it for half year. Cannot complain. My old roboking struggled.

  • any good? s8 is out

    • +1

For the difference in price absolutely yes, I've been waiting for this to drop to a price like this for ages (thanks OP, bought 1)

  • -1

This is a really good price, no?

    • +1

      yes

  • FFFFFFFFFFF serious, i bought this last week from them 1029$ with ebay plus
    :(

    • +15

From my experience, the easiest way to find the best price for something is to buy it, unfortunately :')

    • F

Thank you for your sacrifice to the OzBargain gods.

  • Would I be able to still claim roborock warranty in Aus? Or is this a grey import.

    • +1

Mobileciti sells AU stock with AU warranty

    • +1

I bought this earlier in the year from Allphones/Mobileciti and dealt with Roborock directly under warranty and they were absolutely amazing. Fixed it and also paid for postage to and from SA.

Next updated version Q7 Max+ is better buy at $897

    2500Pa suction vs 4200Pa

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/166425924012?hash=item26bfc211ac…

    • Is thos worthy of a posted deal?

    • +5

S7 does have a few benefits, namely the vibrating mop and automatically raising the mop on carpet.

      • +1

        Hmmm, vibrating mop you say

  • +2

Pretty damn good deal but im still happy i snagged the q7 max and an auto dock for $700.

    • +1

      Even betterer!

      • I was hesitant, but the deals i see now just solidifies it was a steal 😁

    • +1

Was that as a deal posted?

I'm looking for a decent vac/mop/base with a good deal price, shift worker with little time for housework

      • It was posted on here but unfortunately was around black friday time. I purchased the q7 max for $500 and then got the s7 dock for it for $200.

        • I missed that $500 deal :(
Just wondering, is s7 dock also compatible with q7? And is the dock bagless?

          • @kurokaze: Yep compatible and can be used bagless

            • @Shanetrain: Nice… I'm thinking of getting q7 max and bagless dock
Now I just need those deals back haha

  • thanks OP, been holding out for a decent price on one of a few robo vacs. Finally bit the bullet and bought this :)

  • +4

I recently bought Roborock Q Revo. It's amazing. I have a golden retriever as well. Very little maintenance. I just have to fill the clean water tank every few days and empty the dirty water tank every few days. The rotating mops do a really good job. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't still emptied the dust bag. For houses without pets, it can hold more than a month of dust, hair, and other rubbish. Long hair doesn't get stuck in the rollers.

    • Nice. Although double the price.

      • Got it for $1500 in Black Friday sale. Few managed to get it under $1300 from JBHIFI

        • Also picked one up for $1499 during black Friday. Wife and I love her.

        • +1

1599 on Amazon at the moment.

Still undecided on the prefered model.

    • We got it during the BF sales too. Amazing machine!

  • +2

This or a regular vacuum and mop and bucket?

    • For some movement in your life, yes. Buy it if you can't do the manual work 😂

    • Once you have one of these (even a basic one will do) then it's hard to go back. I've had the Gen1 Xiaomi since 2017. The house is spotless as it goes around every day. I just empty the bin every week or so.

      YMMV of course.

mop bucket vaccuum etc does not compare because you can't really do that every day.

      • +1

Can it clean corner of the hoise and edges near the wall or do you still have to manually clean those spots?

        • +1

It doesn't really in precision but if you set it auto run it (or twice; morning and late noon), your house would be pretty clean from dirt. Less dirt will go to the edge as well if you put it that way. I still do manual proper mopping but instead usually twice a week, now once a fortnight as the floor felt always clean. I have different cheaper model and don't use the mop function and I thought this device a godsend it free up my time for other more important stuff. Also helpful if you are on holiday come back to a cleaner home.

        • I just blower vac those hard to reach spots, then the vacuum comes along and eats it up later!

  • +1

This or wait for a (hopeful) deal for the Q Revo?

The Revo looks awesome from reviews, not sure about the S7+.

Thoughts from the masses would be great.

  • +1

call me fickle. was hoping for plain black or plain white!

    • +1

Agree. It's stupid to have both colors.

    • It's called the "Panda Edition" because of the black and white combination.

But yes, I agree, just looking for a plain white combo!

      • +2

        Thank you Captain obvious

  • +3

I really really wanted one of these, and this seems to be almost the cheapest it's ever been. The problem is I went down a youtube rabbithole and it seems as though the Q Revo is a far better machine, and can be bought for around $1400 on sale. I feel like I have my heart set on the Q Revo now so will probably have to wait for a good deal on that again.

    • I'm looking for a really decent robo vac/mop to replace my basic Xiaomi robovac, work shift work and anything to save time doing housework.

I'm so confused and lost as to what I should be looking at and then waiting for a good deal whilst at it

      • +1

I've been the same. It seems that the Roborock ones are the pick of the bunch. the S8 Pro seems to be the best, but the Q Revo is 98% as good but is $1,000 cheaper, so where I have got to is that the Q Revo is the best option. It's hard to navigate.

        • Same boat. We have settled on the Q Revo based on a YouTube review we saw. The downside for the Revo is the detection of obstacles. Not a big issue for us as our two rooms are open and we don't have heaps of crap and cords strewn all over the floor.

Just waiting on a deal for it now.

          • @jollster101: We probably watched the same review! Similarly, we don't intend to need it to avoid obstacles and that seemed to be the only place where the S8 Pro Ultra was better

          • @jollster101: It was $1,380 on Ebay last week for the Australian version. It sold out as I was debating whether to pull the trigger. If it gets back down to $1400 i will grab

            • @WhatWouldBiggieDo: I think somewhere around $1400 would be the sweet spot for us to jump in as well. With Xmas pre and post sales coming up, I am hopeful that will be achieved.

The good thing is we aren't in a mad rush to buy it so can hold on.

  • Thanks bought one

  • +1

I don't know much about these type of vacuums but I always wanted to have one of this. So I bought one and I hope I made a right choice.
Bought the swap gift card from Shopback to have 2.5% cashback as well. 😊

    • +1

Cheers, saved an extra $20 with the gift cards.

      • Glad it helped.
        Is this a good buy?
Will go room to room? If have sofa, rugs and dining table it wouldn't get confused and will cover all possible place? My 2 rooms have carpet, kitchen and hall have timber floor.

        • +1

It will be perfect for that, as this model can detect the difference between carpet and wood and raise/lower the mop.

If this is your first robot cleaner you will be amazed at what a difference it makes, my old one made our crappy old place seem clean all the time and it was way worse than this one.

          • @Kegsta: Thanks for the information. Waiting to get my new robot 🥹🥹

    • same strategy … :)

      • Always need to get maximum discounts 😅

  • Thanks bought one

  • How does the s7 compare to the newer s8? Looking to grab one

  • +1

    This or lubluelu for 220ish?

    • Also I cancelled my lubluelu order to order one of these deals as this has a docking station looks cool 😎

    • +1

Lubluelu is a budget king, yes I have one and is great (for me)

  • +1

S7 is not as good as Dreame L10s Ultra?

  • +2

How does this work in smaller places? I have 2bdr apportionment and we have a lot of furniture pieces and tight spots everywhere. We generally just use Dyson V15 twice a day.
I'm wondering if this will replace our vacuum routine

  • +1

I have kids with toys everywhere, will this be an issue ?

    • +9

You need to clean up, yes. I find “you better put that away or the robot will eat it” pretty compelling though

    • I have an iRobot and when cords are left around (ie a phone charger cable) it gets tangled around the rollers and cut into them destroying them. You can get aftermarket ones for mine. Not sure if it's an issue for this model but thought it was worth mentioning anyway

  • also been wanting to enter the world of robot vacuums. how big a deal is it to not have a self cleaning mop? for general usage i.e. no one has walked mud on the floor or spilt a drink, how often do you need to manually clean the mop? thx

  • Is "vibrating mop" the same as "rotating mop"? I already have 2 original roborock which are still working fine, but I want to get another one with mop feature.

    • +1

watching a review vid currently. No, this one definitely seems to just vibrate back and forth

      • Thanks, I think I will give it a miss. Looks like I need to look at the Q Revo model or S10+ (without dock)

    • +1

If you still have 2 old working ones I'd wait until there is a sale on the Q revo or newer with an actual leap in mop tech, this is a slightly better version of dragging a rag around first gen mops.

      • thank you, Google search did come back with Q Revo model for proper mop feature. I think I searched a few months back and there isn't any model that just do "Good" mop without the vacuum

  • Thanks OP just ordered one. I have a lot of carpet so planning on swapping out the rubber roller with the brush roller from the Q5 to improve performance on carpet.

    • 1.2k, wow, that is good price, from which deal? the lowest in past few weeks seem to be the Kogan deal?

        • was that with 15% off gift cards?

          • @spiderbite88: no didn't use or bring any gift cards as i didn't wanna give them a hard time, their store was already so busy

            • @laufey: Yeah those cards a hassle. So how’d you get the price down to $1.2k?

  • I regret that I should have just bought S7 MaxV Ultra. Changing mop everyday is bit annoying.

  • I bought this last time and it’s been an absolute game changer. Do not hesitate.

    • How would you rate the carpet performance on these?

      • It’s good. Sometimes gets a little tangled on my high-pile carpet. Honestly just get it, it’s very good

  • Hi,

Also looking to get one of these. Does anyone know if they map the house rooms?

    Thanks

    • +1

Yes it is, default mapping for all rooms and can be further divided/edited to your liking

      • Ended up grabbing one!

  • I guess for multi storey houses, need one for each floor?

    • Or move the unit everyday or 2?

    • No, you can just place it on the upper levels when needee
