CBA won't know what you've bought; just that you've spent $100 at Myer.
At least in store that is; it depends how they process gift card purchases online.
If you want to purchase a Myer gift card online through this deal, you need to go to https://retail.myergiftcards.com.au/, which is a completely separate website from https://www.myer.com.au/ and has its own payment process.
When I did transactions on the Myer website and the Myer gift card website earlier this year, both were reported as Myer Pty Ltd with MCC 5311 (Department Stores), but different payment gateway identifiers were reported. If CBA programmed their cashback offer correctly (and I assume they would), they would not pay out cashback on any Myer transactions using the payment gateway identifier for https://retail.myergiftcards.com.au/.

I've used CommBank offers many times to buy gift cards in store no problem, at myer and others too
Though is straight 10%, but you can't use it in Shopback/Cashrewards those 20% or more when needed.
Myer has pretty good bargains lately, so stack $1000 gift card and get bonus $100 pretty good for ps5 or something

So sad. I already get $20 cashback from Commonwealth bank and today Myer sent me $15 e-voucher. I was going to get $15 cashback on that order. As the item price has increased by $20 I believe I try to get it exchanged and forget about my cashback. 🥲
See if Myer will do a straight swap without processing it as a formal exchange

I will go there first and see if they swap it or not. then if not I will buy right on the spot and then in 10 mins I will ask for refund and give them the scratch part :)

can myer GC swap to myer coles group GC in store?
No
I went today to buy $100 coles myer group card from Myer Melb CBD in order to use my CBA offer and they gave me the $10 bonus myer gift card with it. I didn't even ask for it as I was sure the coles myer group cards are not part of this offer and i'm sure the T&C's if i read them it is probably excluded. Got lucky I think.
Can anyone confirm who ordered the gift card online and claimed their Comm bank yello reward.
