  • Evidently not as popular as Nintendo had hoped …

Once it's gone, it's gone forever

Catch wld have had them out the back and only just realised they were there haha

I love special editions, any hint that there is a shortage and FOMO makes sure they're sold out in seconds. But the second it's clear they made a reasonable amount by having it readily available in stores and no one buys it.

Anyway, this needed a $5 statue with it. No one wants an art book.

Was too expensive, this is a more realistic price.

lol - Contrary to your username

  • Standard edition worth ~$50 on marketplace.

Just wanted to say that the artbook is not translated at all. It doesn't have a huge amount of text but it's still irritating to pay that much for no translation.

The devs on the game are Japanese

I believe the contents of the art book are the devs work/ concept sketches with that were not originally meant to be compiled for an artbook - and wished to preserve it ‘as is’ with all the jap texts it contained.

I think thats why there are no translations

Ace Combat had a nice artbook that was originally in Japanese only, but when bundled in a western collectors edition, it was teanslated.

Just seems like laziness on Nintendo's behalf.

    FYI

The US/ EU & JP versions of this CE is in a much more fancier & consistently presented unboxing experience/ good internally finished black boxes.

The AUS version seems cheaper and ordinary in comparison, cobbled-up together using two non-matching internal boxes finishes (one is an ugly white cardboard box).

From the videos I’ve seen - only the AUS version comes with the ugly white internal box…

    • Strange they did that

Yes. I feel cheated when the US got a hardcover for the xenoblade 3 CE artbook and hologram for the front and back of the box! The upside was that we didn't have to fight like the N. America to get one. I don't know why we got a cheaper looking version for all these CEs.

      • Because it gets sold out anyway. Nintendo of the last few years are happy to do the bare minimum.

    • I did not know that. AUS version looks crap.
