I grabbed a great deal on a Lenovo Duet 5 (thanks @tresburrito), which arrived finally today. But the start-up under my account stalled with the message "Google Play terms of service cannot be loaded" and a tip to check the network.
I figure others might be in the same boat, so this is what worked for me (my skill level can be inferred from my instructions):
- Turn off (tap on the clock, then power)
- Turn on and choose Browse as Guest (bottom left)
- Tap clock, go to settings >> About Chrome OS >>Check for updates.
- Takes a while. Asks for restart to complete update.
- I had to do this twice (browse as guest, update, restart). Then it worked when I logged in with my account.
