    price in title please.

    • thanks!

  • Have one, works great. But things to consider
Only 1 HDMI port supports Dolby
    No PIP
Vidaa OS means limited app support

    • How much are the ALR screens costs? Do we need one for UST?

      • I have it with a standard grey 0.9 screen and it works great.

        • You reckon it works even with a normal screen? I have a PJ with 1.0 gain and want to upgrade to UST but the mentions of ALR screens is putting me off.

@revivor: It does work with a normal screen. If you get the ALR screen it must be UST compatible.

@revivor: It will "work" with a white screen but you wont get the best image the projector is capable of if used with a proper UST screen.

Depending on your current projector "upgrading* to a UST projector but still using your white screen might not actually be an upgrade, one reason being your room will be lit up due to your screen reflecting so much light onto the ceiling and less to your eyes, lighting up the room and washing out the image.

There is more to it than that but too much to put with clarity in a comment here, you can get a good explanation at https://darkenergyscreens.com.au

@revivor: Not sure if the wall is an option - however checkout previous posts for this projector and you will find a dude posted a photo of him running it on the wall. For a one off sample, it looked good to me and you could message him to see how it's all going almost a year on.

"Lowest was $1599 at costco sometime but looks like that was old model."

What do you mean old model? There is only one model in Australia.

Btw, I have it. It works great and the built-in vidaa is enough to Netflix, prime, YouTube etc. As fast as any other media player.

Yeah OPs old model comment was weird

  • I think you could get this cheaper if you haggle. I got one JB down to $1,660 (which considering 15% gift cards was a steal). Another JB offered me $1,800. I think there will be better deals through Xmas

    • Hey Kev, when did you get yours down to 1660? Was that matching the old Costco deal?

      • Yes I mentioned that price and they offered to match price + membership cost
