22” Acer Wide-screen LCD Monitor X223W

$194 after cashback at MSY ($253 - $59) www.msy.com.au
$181.34 after price match and cashback at OfficeWorks (originally $358, $240.35 after price match. $240.35 - $59)

*edit: also worth mentioning that OfficeWorks have 7 day no questions asked return policy, handy if you spot a dead/bright pixel out of the box. This is a bit more accommodating that MSY (need more that 3 dead pixels)

Just print out MSY's price list and take it into OfficeWorks, got my own earlier today.

  • Does officeworks price match online? I don't have a store nearby.

    • As far as I know you cant get price matching online as they need to see the price list and call to check that the price is real and that they have stock. They called to confirm the price and stock levels when I got the monitor.

If you cant reach a MSY or OfficeWorks might be worth contacting 'CCPU computers', they come in at $180 after cashback but dont quote delivery on there website. http://www.ccpu.com.au/show_cat.php?cat_id=monitors

  • I feel sorry for Officeworks having to match MSY.

  • officeworks own by coles myer group, did you think they going to brankrupt just becoz match with msy?

they are much bigger than that with their money, you cant imagine their buying power, Officeworks just pretend to be dumb but they arent, cos they buy everything so cheap (Office work have more than 100 store national wide, and not just that, they're part of coles myer group, so their power buying is unbeliveable)

  • yeah, they have so many products that are on the shelf earning some 50% margin, like those logitech speakers, keyboards, laptop cases. they will be still earning money even if they offer 40% off ALL products.

  • What's Acer like with their cashback? Fairly quick?

    • up to 8 weeks. see http://www.acer.com.au/cashback

make sure you scan/photograph any documents you are asked to send in for the cashback in case they are 'lost'

  • A quick Staticice search shows that CCPU has it for $239 ($180 after cashback). See http://www.ccpu.com.au/show_cat.php?cat_id=monitors
That's $168.05 after Officeworks match + cashback, if you want to save another $13.30.

Edit: Seems I missed the 2nd post

    what does this mean?

  • I just picked up two of these from Officeworks. There was no problems price matching with CCPU, he didn't even call them. They even made me work out what the price came to with the 5% discount… I could have said anything. They wouldn't accept the Coles discount card though. Expires today… $336 is awesome for two 22" considering that's what they were asking for one…

He said if there were any dead pixels I could take it back and they'd exchange it.
