Best Price for Business Class Flights to Bali Feb 2024

It’s a few years since I have travelled so looking for some help please. Looking to travel from Brisbane to Bali some time in February or early March travelling business so I can work on the plan more comfortably etc.

Best price I have found is Qantas return $2500. Should I wait a bit longer? This is listed as sale price and because there is no direct Qantas business flight it goes through Sydney and there was only one business seat left each way for domestic. Is it likely another flight will become available with more business seats? Is there generally good sales for business Boxing Day? I have Qantas points but that would only pay for $1500 of the flights.

Thank you.

can work on the plan more comfortably

I'm curious. What is this plan you speak of?

    • Plane lol but there’s also a plan to work remotely over there whilst trying to have a holiday as well because it’s too difficult to take an actual holiday

You dont give much information . There are many variables

Eg My checking shows Virgin business class is $2403 on the same day direct from Brisbane. (Your profile says you are from Brisbane) Returning 5 days later. But I am guessing that (its same price returning on 5th mar as well) so you need to look at what day you come back.

Are you wanting points on Qantas? or can you fly other airlines? How much more are you willing to pay for direct? You can go Qantas/Philippines for $500 less but many more hours via Manilla. Via Melb/Syd is also cheaper but given its a 6 hour flight you trade off 6 hours of comfort for another 6 hours of waiting in terminals, and in air flying. A lot different from flying a 15 hour flight in economy Vs business.

Economy on same days is $600ish and using the $1800 on a great hotel stay might be better value? But are you paying that part or is that business.

  • Probably need noise cancelling headphones too!

If you are asking if that $2500 Qantas fare will get any cheaper then the answer is no.

    • and no guarantee it will take off or if it does your luggage will arrive either!

  • Best price I have found is qantas return 2500. Should I wait a bit longer?

Who knows, you don't say what city you're flying from.

    • My post says brisbane to bali

  • Qantas forget it moment they see you are searching for your flight, they will keep increasing price till you lock the flights and keep bombarding you with emails that you are missing out on great deals.

  • Sorry everyone - Departing Gold Coast or Brisbane. I live on the GC however there doesn’t seem to be much from GC? I don’t want to mess around waiting for connecting flights more than I would already have to with Qantas Business. I just want to go mid feb and be back mid march at the latest 8-9 days, prefer to leave on a Friday (second option Thursday) and be back on a Sunday. I dont care about collecting more Qantas points etc.

Does anyone know which airline is better for wifi?

you probably wont get much difference in the price to worry about. also direct flights cheaper if you return mid week rather than on Sunday. Weekends are when most want to fly home before starting work the next day. Likewise for leaving

Another factor is the lower the fare, the higher the risk of getting downgraded, should Qantas need the seat for a higher paying/priority customer.

EDIT - and BTW they will refund the difference from the going price of the economy ticket, not the price at the time you were booking. So make sure you get a screenshot with date /time of economy fares at the time you book the business class seat. As otherwise you and they wont know what that was.

  • How many Qantas points do you have? It's 57k to get a classic reward flight ("classic reward seats" are different to "pay with points", much cheaper but limited availability). There are a few business classic reward seats for SYD -> DPS in Feb. No returning flights so would have to buy the way back. https://www.flghts.com.au/s-destinationcity__11-11/dps__0-2

    • Thanks for the link - I will check that out. I have 229,000 q points
