Why don't we see more gold accents with Ti watches? It works really well.

Although the gold crown on this one looks like an afterthought.

    • This cw is quite nice, but I don't need another dress(y) watch because I never wear them. Yeah the crown is whatever but not a dealbreaker

Just be aware watch depot are struggling a bit atm processing their orders so chances are you might not get it until next year if you order now

Shiels/Watch Depot have always been slow to ship in my experience

    • ‘Green truck’ items should be no problem to ship within normal timeframe

    • Great price. But why no titanium Fugu Citizen wtf?

      • NY0105-81E

        although it is an 8203

Let's have an update please Citizen

        • It's weird Starbuy have a black Fugu but it's SS

  • Quartz for $399. My how Seiko's automatic value proposals have fallen.

    • Some people prefer quartz or solar. Plus this is titanium with sapphire

Quartz is the superior technology. Automatics make no sense at all.

      • Whys this the case?

        • +1

Quartz is more accurate and cheaper. People like mechanical watches for same reason people like vinyls and mechanical keyboards and manual cars. They like the “romance” and greater interaction with the watch

@illusion99: Ya, from a strictly practical pov, almost no one needs anything beyond a $25 Casio F-91W

            • @beltdrive: You could argue with phones nobody even needs a Casio either

              • +1

@illusion99: I cannot use phones or smartwatches in my workplace.

I don't like automatic watches because they do not keep good time and I am too autistic to deal with the uncertainty and I think jewelry is cringe.

                I use a f-91w.

    • I can see the value in this for $400, but generally speaking you're right, Seiko have shifted upmarket and aren't the value proposition they used to be

I wish Orient was distributed here. We get Seiko's budget brand Alba, but that's a little too cheap
